San Francisco is proving to be a wellspring of intriguing new plus-size talent, none more notable than Marritt (Ford S.F., size 16).

We have mentioned Marritt on the forum before, and now, we are pleased to post an example of her work--an ad in this week's Mervyn's flyer.

It may be a simple commercial image, but it does show off Marritt's terrific figure--including her best feature, her curvy waist. And it's always encouraging to see a client using a girl who is youthful, pretty, and genuinely full-figured, rather than a faux-plus model.

More notably, Ford has also released several attractive new Polaroids of Marritt. Nothing offers a better appraisal of a model's true look than a Polaroid, and based on these images, Marritt is remarkably beautiful. This eye-catching snapshot shows off her stunning proportions. What makes her so praiseworthy is that her figure is naturally soft rather than unattractively "toned." Note also how the model is playing with her hair--a supremely alluring touch. This is altogether one of the finest Polaroids we have ever seen.

With a curvy waist, full arms, and all-around womanly proportions, Marritt is a true Classical beauty. Her corn-golden hair also adds to her look.

We are delighted to see Marritt now listed as a full size 16, and fanslook forward to seeing further examples of her work. In the meantime, here is one more test photo from her portfolio--an inviting lifestyle image.

- Click here to view Marritt's online card

Size-16 beauty Marritt also appears in the current Mervyn's flyer:

Cute picture. I generally don't go for jackets like this, but she makes it look appealing. I like how closely it fits, especially around the midriff, so it doesn't take away the model's shape, but accentuates it.

Marritts Polaroids are lovely. She has a beautifully soft, natural figure - perfect for swimwear. As long as she doesnt diminish her curves, she would make an ideal candidate for the survy page.

With the recent images of Chloe Marshall and Marritt, I think full-figured models are finally overcoming the weird stigma the fashion industry has had about showing curvy women in bikinis. I expect to see plussize models showcasing two-piece bathing suits in the very near future.

Marritt has another ad in the current Mervyns flyer - simple but pretty. Here is the picture, and the link:
It is a pleasure to see that in the newest Mervyn's flyer, Marritt has a page all to herself:

For a weekly store circular, the pictures are surprisingly good. The largest one, at the left margin, is especially attractive, with the model's golden hair swirling around her face in thick, heavy locks.

From a size-celebration point of view, this image is quite nice, exhibiting the curvaceous reverse-view feature that Tyra Banks keeps encouraging plus-size models to show off, on America's Next Top Model.

We generally loathe vertical stripes, but one has to applaud Marritt's coy, sexy expression in this picture. And notice that her curvy midriff is pressing open the shirt at the waist.

Marritt is a very promising young talent, and her size-16 figure is splendid. How wonderful to see that she has found a regular client. As soon as she acquires a few more images, either in a new test, or in a new campaign, her place on the survey page is assured.

There was another new picture of Marritt in yesterday's Mervyn's flyer:

Beautiful as always. I'd love to see her add some new test shots to her portfolio.

One more Mervyn's photo for Marritt fans, from the latest circular.

These flyer pictures are all pretty, but someday, I really hope to see Marritt in a full-fledged ad campaign, with high production values and feminine attire.

At any rate, she's a fine model.
