Today is the day of the size 18s.

Not long after the release of exciting new images of size-18 Wilhelmina legend Megan Garcia, Ford has debuted lovely new Polaroids of its own size-18 beauty, the angelic Valerie Lefkowitz.

That Valerie has once again become the prettiest plus-size model is beyond question. In the history of the industry, only Shannon Marie--whom Valerie resembles--was ever (and remains) more attractive. Like Shannon, Valerie possesses an utterly ravishing complexion, the epitome of peaches-and-cream fairness. As befits a fairy-tale princess come to life, Valerie's skin truly is "as white as snow," with blushing apple cheeks that make the viewer's heart ache with longing. Couple this with her sea-blue eyes and golden tresses, and the result is nothing less than an angel in human form. By regaining fullness, Valerie has also regained her beauty, and her face possesses the roundness that once made her the most celebrated goddess of our time.

But has she recovered all of the softness that she once possessed? Her acclaimed Reitmans campaign and Interweave Crochet page argue yes, while these images are less decisive. Her top fits loosely, suggesting the pear-shaped proportions of the Classical ideal, but not quite defining them. Valerie was once universally celebrated as having the best legs of any model in the industry, utterly soft and free of muscle "tone," and her capris reveal that perhaps she has regained her pre-eminence in this regard as well.

And yet the mystery may be part of Miss Lefkowitz's continued fascination. The viewer remains uncertain, eager for more, breathlessly hoping for further images that might show off the full measure of Valerie's beauty.

A closer view reveals that Miss Lefkowitz does possess a seductively buxom figure (and one wonders what the significance of her locket might be). Yet her arms--their beauty is not fully disclosed, further adding to the mystery of her current look.

One final close-up (viewable at the link below) leaves the viewer more unsure than ever. In her heyday, Valerie possessed the "slight rise" of a "slope towards the throat," yet this is not indicated here. Is she lovely? Yes. At 5'8 and a size 18, is she the prettiest model in the industry? Unquestionably. But does she have the soft fullness that once made her an unrivalled beauty, a muse who would inspire the greatest flowering of human creativity, and utterly transform the world?

We eagerly await her next campaign, or next full-fledged test shoot, to know for certain.

*sigh* An angel. It's so true. She's absolutely lovely -- perhaps the prettiest she has ever been. I wouldn't be certain of her curviness from these pictures, but based on her Reitmans campaign, there's no doubt that she is a goddess once more. She's adorable in a way that no other plus-size model can match.

How often has the public asked for three things of the plus-size models who represent them; that they be:
-shorter
-lovelier
-fuller-figured
Well, Valerie is all of these things. I'm very much looking forward to her future campaigns.

And I really miss her tests! In the past, seeing her seasonal tests was like reading a fashion magazine, because her pictures always showed which trends worked best on womanly figures. I'd love to see her do more tests again...

I agree with all three points, and Im excited to see new pictures of Valerie. She really is a living doll. Its remarkable how much more comfortable and happier she looks as a size 18 than she did when she was starving herself. And more beautiful too - she has regained that special glow which she used to have, that certain radiance which is hers and hers alone.

Its amazing how she manages to turn simple Polaroids into dreamy expressions of perfect beauty. These pics probably display the wonder of her flawless complexion better than any photos I have ever seen of her. The aquamarine top matches her crystal-blue eyes, and her romantic, wavy hair is like that of a storybook princess. Just breathtaking.

There are no words to adequately describe Valerie's beauty. She and Shannon Marie are simply on a different plane of existence from any other plus-size models, and truly do belong to the class of goddesses who have inspired the greatest achievements of humanity since the dawn of history.

The muses were no myths. This is one of them.
Valerie is now a size 16 not an 18--a regrettably development, as figure diminishment also threatens any model's facial beauty (whereas Valerie's facial features were so gorgeous during her recent Reitmans and Lion Brand campaigns). The consolation, however, is that Ford has finally released new Polaroids which do define her stunning body shape. Being size 16 at 5'8 still endows her with luscious, curvy proportions, which these images demonstrate admirably well.

The styling is simple--a white top and jeans--but on Valerie's pear-shaped figure, the jeans are given attractive, feminine contours. The top also reveals her buxom curves.

The sight of Valerie's golden curls gently spilling over her shoulder adds immeasurably to the beauty of the pictures. One thinks, "This is what a fairy-tale princess would look like if she were to doff her ornate gowns and don casual attire." Yet the storybook charm of her beauty is still vividly apparent. And above all, Valerie's womanly figure gives the images an intoxicating sensual allure.

Although she was even more beautiful at a size 18, Valerie still possesses an appealing figure--among the best of any model currently working. We earnestly hope to see her in future campaigns

Although Valerie herself looks even prettier in the first Polaroids, the last two are among the best figure shots I've ever seen. Finally, a photographer shows off her gorgeous curves. It's about time! (I wish she'd been shot this way at a size 18, though.) But she still has a very womanly, delectable shape. The most beautiful figures are hourglass+pear, which is precisely Valerie's body type. This is what a woman should look like.

Why doesn't the fashion world realize that the public wants to see models with hips, thighs, and tummies- that curvy figures like these, and not androgynous stick frames, are most appealing (and also show off clothing best)?
