View Full Version : Kailee: MXM, Holiday 2008
1st November 2008, 00:18
I've found three very pretty images that indicate that Kailee appears in the Winter 2008 campaign for MXM. However, oddly, none of the pictures appear at the MXM site, which is currently in a bare-bone, picture-free state. No idea why.
Most beautiful is this new picture from a joint MXM/Addition-Elle flyer.
Kailee's arm looks soft and shapely, her figure curvy, and the lighter hair looks gorgeous on her. I like the expression too- very earnest and searching.
Here is Kailee in an MXM seater ad. I love how long her hair is now.
And here's the same ad in a vertical form:
Wonderful images. But I hope that more examples from this campaign will be online at MXM.ca in the future...

Actually, quite a few images from this campaign are now online at the MXM site, and elsewhere.
Above all, there's a gorgeous picture being used as the site's cover page - one of the ads that was posted in the new LouLou magazine supplement.
And if you browse through the site, you can find quite a few more being used as embellishments for various pages.
This one is really stunning.
The Reitmans corporate site features three of the images in rotation on its home page.

I've also seen the top picture in this thread being featured in various online ads, both horizontally,
Larger versions of the pictures of this campaign can now be seen in our thread about LouLou magazine's Winter 2008 plus-size supplement.
However, MXM.ca does feature several interesting variants on the images, as well as a few that are exclusive to the site.
Here, for example, is the original winter 2008 cover, employing a beautiful image of Kailee.

The following image, which does not appear in the LouLou supplement, is highly original. With the hood and the star necklace, it almost has a . . . witch-like quality, presenting Kailee as a modern-day enchantress. (One thinks of Kim Novak in the classic romantic comedy Bell, Book, and Candle.) Her beauty certainly casts a spell over the viewer.

Another unique picture accompanies the text to MXM's "careers" page. Kailee infuses her images with extraordinary passion. Other models frequently try and fail when they attempt to produce expressive looks like this, but Kailee succeeds because her innate prettiness softens even the rawest of expressions.

And finally, a recent MXM.ca cover included a larger version of the most familiar image of the campaign.

This promotion is a return to greatness for the "Canadian Torrid"--a division that has frequently produced the most exciting plus-size fashion imagery in the Great White North.

Did everybody see the new Kailee cover at MXM? She looks so adorable.
I love the slogan on the top: "I could be so... sweet." Heh. I like how it says "could be," meaning, only if she wants to be; only if you're lucky enough that she'll be sweet; only if you're good enough.
Such a pretty smile, with those pink lips and rosy cheeks. A lot of the pics in this campaign have been the steamier kind, but I like this happy photo as a change of pace. Kailee is as cute as a doll, and it really comes out in pictures like this.
