Fans of Valerie Lefkowitz will be fascinated by several new items published by her agency, Wilhelmina ten20 in New York.

First, here is an ultra-glamorous new test image--one of the most captivating that the model has created in several seasons--showing Valerie in an evening mood. She appears darkly sensual here, yet the hair light causes her golden tresses seemingly to glow with their own inner radiance. The expression is bold and penetrating, but not aggressive. This is a thrilling presentation of potent femininity, a portrait of a seductress who capitalizes on her angelic qualities to beguile countless admirers and imprison their hearts forever.

This image is in a completely different vein. It shows the mirth and joy that fans know from many of Valerie's most memorable images, and it suggests the alluring proportions of the model's hips--her best figure features. Her tresses flow freely, as if caught by a summer breeze.

But the most truthful presentations of a model's look are Polaroids, and although Valerie's Ford Polaroids of just a year ago may never be surpassed, this Polaroid headshot accurately demonstrates the exquisite fairness of the model's complexion.

But all of this is by way of preamble, for the most exciting new Valerie-related release is the model's first-ever fully-realized promotional agency video.

For a while, Valerie's Ford portfolio did also feature a brief video, but for some reason it was uploaded without sound, and was only a few seconds' duration.

In this video, on the other hand, fans finally get to hear Valerie speak, and discover that, like Kailee, Christina Schmidt, Chloe Agnew, Barbara Brickner, and most all feminine goddesses, Valerie has a soft, girlish, soprano-range voice, a voice that perfectly matches her look.

Fans also get to see Valerie in unmentionables, and even see her display a few playful dance movements. True, the video would have been more breathtaking during one of the curvier phases of Valerie's career, but it still showcases her dazzling beauty and sparkling personality.

That's a charming video. Valerie's voice is just as sweet as I always expected it would be. Oh, how I wish that she had filmed it when she was curvier! I can't even imagine how beautiful it would have been if she had shot it when she was a size 18. Really, it takes my breath away just to think about it.

But wow, the first photo, above, with the light making Valerie's hair glow, is absolutely stunning. It IS one of her all-time best. Truly fairytale, but contemporary too.

I discovered two new Valerie images at Dress Barn. The first one is another gorgeous presentation of her amazing doll-like tresses. It's a pity that the clothing isn't as pretty as it could be, though.

With that beautiful hairstyle, I would sooner see Valerie in lacy, princess-like gowns.

And here is another new DB image:

All very pretty, but I definitely miss the fuller-figured Valerie of the recent past.

I really love the first image in this thread, with the light catching her voluminous hair. Gorgeous.

Valerie is also on the cover and inside the Fall '09 fashion book from Dress Barn.

While it's nice to see Valerie on the cover (she's obviously more beautiful than any of the other Dress Barn models, straight-size or plus-size), browsing the book is somewhat bittersweet. Dress Barn used to do really creative things with its promotions. I remember one catalogue that showed Valerie in Savannah, another that was in a Latin American country, another that was set in Arizona, still another that was in New England or thereabouts. Those were gorgeous settings. By contrast, seeing just a bare studio shoot is a bit disappointing.

And of course, I really wish that Valerie were fuller-figured.

Wilhelmina has now released several new images of Valerie. Most striking is this lovely image, showing the model looking sweet, angelic, adorable. Her eyes are the softest blue. The wisp of hair flowing across her face is an enchanting touch. The play of colours, with the lilac top set off by the lush foliage, adds richness to the image. Her complexion is very fair.

The following image achieves an interesting effect through the dramatic use of lighting. The model's skin seems to glow with its own radiance, as if lit from within. Another lovely hairstyle here.

This image possesses a narrative, editorial element, with the model dressed casually. It's a clever idea--sitting on a suitcase, in the middle of a track; a "representation" of the idea of travel. The hairstyle is beautiful. However, one sees here how much more attractive Valerie's face was a year ago, in the Lion Brand campaign (stunning new images from which have been posted here). When she was fuller, Valerie possessed the most beautiful facial features of any model other than Shannon Marie, but in her current state, the face is too drawn and severe.

One sees the same issue here. The pose is graceful, the hairstyle gorgeous, but the facial features lack the softness and roundness that made them so beautiful. At least the pose attempts to accentuate her only remaining plus feature, her curvy hips.

Compare the above image to a truly stunning and exciting photo from several seasons ago, when a fuller-figured Valerie worked for Isaac Mizrahi, for Target. She was much more luscious, more buxom. And nothing in the world could be as seductive as the sight of her sumptuously full waist swelling over the lip of the lower section of her swimsuit. The softness in her figure made her indescribably alluring. This was from a time when Valerie was the most exciting, beautiful, and popular model in the industry--and for good reason.

Looking at these new images, one respects, as always, at Valerie's posing ability and innate beauty. But one also laments that she lacks the gorgeous fullness that she possessed during the Lion Brand campaign, just over a year ago. At that point, she was at the very peak of her beauty--the most gorgeous that she had ever been in her entire career. Even during the Isaac Mizrahi campaign several seasons ago, she was curvier and more exciting than she is today, both in face and figure. And fans dearly wish that she might regain that beauty once again.
