View Full Version : Kailee for Takko Fashion

While browsing the Brigitte Models web site, I noticed that Kailee O'Sullivan's online portfolio has been updated and includes the following ad:

Although tiny, I found the images to be lovely, and since I'd never heard of "Takko Fashion" before, I looked it up and discovered that it is a German fashion chain with branches throughout central Europe.

The Takko Fashion site features a landing page devoted exclusively to its plus-size collection:

It comes with two absolutely gorgeous images of Kailee, who was and remains one of the most beautiful plus-size models of all time. She appears to be growing out her hair again, and the extra length makes her even more stunning. She has the face of an angel.

If anything, I adore this image even more, as it showcases how buxom Kailee is. Very alluring facial expression too, and a seductive hairstyle.

It's always a pleasure to see new images of this astounding beauty.
Miss O'Sullivan's fans will be pleased by the fact that Takko Fashion recently posted the original circular with Kailee's page in a .pdf on its Web site. The most gorgeous of the three images is, of course, the photograph of Kailee in the collared shirt. Only a true goddess could make such a simple item look so alluring. The shirt fits snugly around her generous bust. Notice a particular seductive detail--the sight of the model's buxom curves straining against the top buttons.

But there is more to Kailee's beauty than just her voluptuousness. Her facial features are soft and round; her complexion fair and delicate. Her magnificent tresses cascade over her shoulders in romantic waves, their opulent fullness complementing the sumptuousness of her figure. But the most enchanting aspect of the image is the model's expression, which reveals her naked vulnerability. The context of the photograph may be professional, given the collared shirt and the morning coffee, but the model's strawberry romantic tresses, her flushed cheeks, and the needy look in her eyes confirm her as a blossoming young girl, a Pre-Raphaelite princess anachronistically inhabiting the modern world. The fullness in her facial features makes her appear sensually well-fed. The intriguing nail colour adds a dash of personality.

The next image shows the model in a stylish overcoat. Here her expression is sweeter, more pleasant. Kailee is not only one of the most beautiful models who has ever lived, but also one of the most expressive, with the ability to generate powerful responses in her admirers through the soft femininity that she evokes.

Indeed, her beauty is so prodigious that one simply must take a closer look, to marvel at her peaches-and-cream complexion, her perfect pink lips, her beseeching blue eyes, and to lose oneself in her thick, wavy tresses.

The main image of the Takko ad has a cosmopolitan, even Parisian feel to it. (It must be the beret.) This picture illustrates one of Kailee's most remarkable talents: her ability to make even the most carefully staged scenes appear unplanned and incidental. The pose, the expression, even the hand gesture, all seem completely convincing--as if a traveller had noticed Kailee on the Champs Elysées, had been staggered her beauty, and had quickly snapped a photograph to capture her astounding loveliness on film. Miss O'Sullivan may be the most innately graceful model working today.

Again, the image is so lovely that it demands closer scrutiny. Her expression is irresistibly unguarded and open. The eyes betray her enticing vulnerability. The open mouth adds a sensual touch, suggesting an thrilling aspect of wickedness to her character that she usually hides from the world, but which makes her even more desirable. Her voluminous tresses cascade in romantic waves, their luxuriance artfully controlled. She is a living doll, this fair beauty, an embodiment of Old World loveliness.

If the plus-size fashion industry were to consistently feature its most gorgeous starlets (such as Kailee, Kelsey, etc.) in all of its promotions, it would have a far greater cultural impact. A regular, casual shoot such as this, featuring Kailee, is worth far more than even the most highly publicized editorials in "prestigious" fashion magazines featuring less remarkable models. Not Vogue, not Elle, nor any other fashion publication can boast of containing within its pages even a fraction of the beauty that this Takko campaign displays.

Just imagine if each seasonal promotion from every plus-size retailer were to feature Shannon Marie, or Kelsey, or Kailee. Within a year, the whole world would rediscover the Classical ideal and enshrine it once again, forgetting forever the artificially induced anorexia worship of the last misbegotten century, and in its place embracing timeless femininity.
