Although timeless-beauty aficionados must forever look with envy upon the exciting plus-size industry in Brazil, where gorgeous size-20 models like Mayara Russi make regular appearances in print campaigns and on the runway, we here in North America do have a few goddesses of our own who can match their South American counterparts in curves and beauty.

Consider for example the luscious Katherine Roll (Model Service Agency, NY). Rumour has it that she will finally be creating a new fashion test in the very near future, but in the meantime, Katherine has kindly granted us permission to share a few more of her personal candids. Although some of these are severely cropped (to eliminate the presence of extraneous subjects), we consider them essential to share on this forum, as they admirably showcase Miss Roll's stunning, womanly figure.

The first set shows the model as one of the bridesmaids in a recent wedding. Although this photograph is tiny, it is one of the finest pictures that we have ever seen of the Miss Roll's sumptuous physique. The dress appears to have been created with Katherine's body in mind, so perfectly does it embrace her every sinful curve. Observe how the ruching at the bust accentuates her magnificent voluptuousness. The sleeveless design shows off her most gorgeous figure feature--her shapely arms, which fans have enthusiastically acclaimed as the most gorgeous arms of any model in the industry. Her blonde tresses ideally set off the purple hue of the dress, and give her the opulent look of a well-fed princess.

The following image shows the front of the dress--which is one of the most beautiful bridesmaid gowns that we have ever seen, belying the cliché that bridesmaid apparel is meant to be unattractive. Indeed, the bride at this ceremony probably ended up regretting giving Miss Roll such a lovely dress, as reports confirm that all eyes at the wedding day were solely trained upon Katherine and her bountiful beauty. The cut of the dress shows off a heady expanse of the model's bare neck-and shoulder area, with the model's clavicle wholly submerged in soft fullness. The bustier discloses just enough of the model's buxom contours as to be seductive while remaining tasteful. The sash at the waist, elegantly embellished, draws the fabric close to the model's body without compressing it, and exhibits an especially alluring figure feature--the soft swell at the model's abdomen.

Another image better displays Katherine's round, full arms, which as so perfectly shaped as to resemble the substantial limbs of a Classical sculpture of Venus. The way in which her golden tresses delicately touch the soft, bare skin of her shoulders is highly seductive.

A closer view shows why Katherine's arms are so ideally shaped. Notice that although they appear soft and round, they are narrower at the shoulders. This indicates that their feminine rondeur is due entirely to natural fullness, unmarred by any ugly muscle tone or androgynous "toning," which would ruin their sensual appearance. It is the thankful avoidance of gym torture which has given Katherine's limbs their perfect form.

Another image offers a truer look at the attractive hue of the dress (purple being the favourite colour of the Judgment of Paris), and how seductively it fits around the model's middle. The chandelier earrings complement the bejewelled design of the sash.

Finally, a top-to-bottom look gives a more complete sense of this gown, and of how attractive Katherine's figure makes it appear. No faux-plus model could make this dress look half as good as Katherine does, thanks to her voluptuous, womanly form.

* * *

While the wardrobe in the second set of images is more casual, it is nevertheless very appealing--a Gap-style outfit that has its own softness and femininity. Furthermore, the hairstyle in these pictures is even prettier than the model's partial Gibson, above.

Doesn't Katherine resemble the sweetest of angels in this picture? Her fair tresses, baby-blue eyes, and white outfit give her a childlike innocence that is utterly irresistible. Her expression is gentle and soothing--perfectly suited to the theme of the picture. The natural daylight bathes her in a soft glow, as if heaven itself were in love with her.

Yet this celestial fairness is coupled with a robust, well-fed figure, thus creating a blending of effects that constitutes the epitome of "wholesome sexiness." In this image Katherine displays the most attractive of all facial features, a soft curve under the chin. The fitted khakis disclose a sensual touch of roundness at the model's midsection. Her open-mouthed smile communicates complete joy in her own being. Don't let Miss Roll's extraordinary beauty distract you from the fact that she is a very accomplished model in terms of her posing technique, and has a knack for adopting natural, appealing expressions.

A standing image allows Katherine to show off her intoxicating voluptuousness, which is lovingly defined by her fitted camisole. Again, she achieves heady seductiveness in a way that is gentle and tasteful, an ability that few models possess. One perceives the alluring substantiality of her figure, its richness and fullness, indicated even by the womanly outline of her thighs. And oh, that is surely the sweetest, prettiest smile that we have ever seen.

On a lesser model, even on a mere size 14, this outfit would lack the appealing shapeliness that it exhibits on Katherine's splendid figure. Observe a deft touch on the model's part: as she walks, she allows the breeze to pull open her sweater, thus nonchalantly showing off her buxom curves. The womanly fullness of her hips is unmistakable. Her easygoing walk suggests complete comfort with her generous beauty, the effortless self-assurance of a goddess who knows that she is one of the most desirable women in the world, thanks to her sumptuous physique.

We end off on two more seated pictures. Plus-size models always look especially attractive in recumbent positions of every kind, as these suggest a sensual languour and indolence on their part. The model appears delightfully happy and carefree in this image, playful even, while the soft fuzziness of her sweater gives her an irresistibly cuddly quality. Yet the prime point of interest in this picture is, of course, the sight of her full, rounded arms, as defined by the fitted cardigan. One fantasizes about how breathtakingly beautiful they would appear if the model were to doff her sweater, but even through the fabric their generous shape is evident.

The lush greenery sets off the dazzling fairness of the model's tresses and the radiant whiteness of her wardrobe, while the stone bench invokes thoughts of a Classical setting. One easily imagines this as a latter-day scene from an Arcadian poem of pastoral love, in which a young man would come upon Aphrodite herself reposing in a lyrical garden, would sit by her side and pay ardent homage to her beauty, while the goddess would eagerly drink in his praise. Surely if the Classical deity of beauty--known for her enjoyment of love and food--were to be incarnated in mortal form and inhabit the present-day world, she would look just like the lovely Katherine Roll.

Fans should be very grateful to Katherine for allowing us to share these personal images. The second set has a particular interest in that it shows the model in just the kind of lush, natural setting that is an ideal backdrop for plus-size models' images. Miss Roll has an absolutely ideal figure: a soft and natural physique which represents exactly the kind of body type that the public continually entreats the full-figured fashion industry to showcase. We eagerly look forward to her future successes.

I concur: Katherine is exactly the kind of model that I keep hoping the plus-size fashion industry would begin using. I'm sick and tired of having clothing promoted to me on models who aren't anywhere near curvaceous. Seeing fashion on, say, a meagre size 12 tells me nothing about how an item would fit on me. I want to see models who are closer to my own proportions, like Katherine. And the fact that she is jaw-droppingly gorgeous helps too!

Every time see Katherine's pictures, or Kelsey's, I right away begin thinking about getting their wardrobe for myself, or something like it. I love that white top, and the design of the dress, especially at the bust, is to die for.

The sleeveless design shows off her most gorgeous figure feature--her shapely arms, which fans have enthusiastically acclaimed as the most gorgeous arms of any model in the industry.
I second that! Her arms are luscious and beautiful.

I'm just desperately hoping that the industry doesn't try to starve her into a lesser, faux-plus form, now that I finally see a model I can really relate to, size-wise. Her figure is perfect.

I see no reason why every plus-size model shouldn't be at least as curvaceous as Katherine. I find it so empowering looking at her images, as I do seeing Mayara Russi's. Katherine brings with her the bloom of youth as well as the kind of generous, shapely build that most young women actually do possess these days (indeed, many are far fuller-figured than she is). She's a gorgeous model, and a far better representative of curvy womanhood today than any meagre faux-plus model.

I hope beyond hope that no one tries to lessen Katherine's luscious curves.

All models in single-digit dress sizes are straight-size models, regardless of whether or not the fashion industry tries to pretend that they are "curvy." It's an offense to label them plus-size. Let plus-size models be at least as full-figured (and beautiful!) as Katherine.
