Someone recently mentioned the possibility that Valerie Lefkowitz could be regaining her curvaceous beauty. Perhaps it's just wishful thinking. However, I found a host of images of Valerie at Macy's that suggest that maybe, just maybe, we might yet see the return of the more gorgeous Valerie of yore.

This image of Valerie in sleepwear, for example, shows her looking more well-fed and prettier than I've seen in a while. Her arms and legs look fuller, and of course, she looks terrific in pink.

I've noticed that Valerie, like many plus-size models, appears to have softer and shapelier legs when she doesn't wear heels. The heels seem to tighten up and diminish the look of a model's limbs, but when she stands naturally, the legs appear more generous.

The glory of Valerie's figure has always been her hips, and this fitted dress shows them off very well. Although she's on the smaller side of plus, she has a womanly body - the complete opposite of an androgynous waif.

An unexpected treat in this campaign is that a number of the items are very pretty in their own right. This is a beautifully feminine, summery dress, with a lovely floral pattern. Like many of the Macy's items, it's sufficiently short to display Valerie's shapely legs.

Here's another new Macy's dress in a similarly feminine print. These are some of the prettiest, most natural dress prints I've seen all year, and they go perfectly with Valerie's peaches-and-cream complexion.

This sweater, in a pretty, coral colour, goes well with the Macy's sundresses, picking up the colour in the print. Valerie's milky-white complexion gives her an extra touch of softness.

Here's a top and jacket in that coral colour, a hue that seems to have been chosen with Valerie in mind, because it plays off her golden hair and gives a touch of rosy colour to her fair skin. I like the suggestion of fullness at Valerie's waist.

This print is not as enchanting as was that of the previous dresses, but it's still attractive, and I like the cut and the length. But really, it's Valerie's gorgeous figure that makes it so appealing. The poses that she chooses to show off these dresses are designed to celebrate her generous hips, and in so doing she give the dresses an alluring shape.

Valerie offers an interesting contrast with Kailee. Both models are size 14, but whereas Kailee is very buxom (more voluptuous than Valerie), Valerie has fuller hips. This gives Kailee the advantage in showing off tops, but Valerie the advantage in showing off dresses. Each model's body type fills out the different items in different ways. Kailee looks fuller in tops than in dresses, while Valerie looks fuller in dresses than tops, so those are each model's specialties.

The blue is a tad bright, but still, it's a feminine, summery dress that looks great on a plus-size figure.

In some cases, Valerie's figure makes a dress look even more appealing from the reverse view than from the front.

This blouse is feminine and romantic, but I especially love how the outline of Valerie's figure indicates the womanliness of her hips.

This top also gains its primary appeal from the fact that it closely fits Valerie's body, defining her curves and showing off her full, feminine hips.

Pink has always been Valerie's colour. Her skin looks particularly fair here, which makes her look delicate and vulnerable, though soft and well-fed. Despite the sunglasses, it's a very girly look. Adorable.

This dress picture shows some attractive roundness in Valerie's arms, as does the following photo of Valerie in a sleeveless red top.

Even when an ensemble looks a bit more "mature," as this one does, the fact that Valerie is modelling it gives it freshness and youth, and her womanly figure gives it an unintentional but welcome eye-catching seductiveness.

This simple ensemble is shaped into beauty by Valerie's feminine proportions.

This item is about as shapeless and career-oriented as one can imagine; however, notice how Valerie's feminine figure still endows it with a full silhouette, suggesting the curves beneath the fabric. On a faux-plus model, the outfit would look completely and unappealingly androgynous.

I thought I'd include this blouse in the post just because of its attractive look. Very graceful pose from Valerie.

I love how Valerie's long, golden hair looks with the bit of wind catching it.

I'm not giving up hope. I'd still like to believe that Valerie might regain her former curves. The first image in this thread shows a trace of her former fullness. At the peak of her beauty, she was a size 18; but even at a 16, she would again become one of the industry's most important models.

Valerie set the stage for many of the blue-eyed, golden-haired, fair-skinned, soft-figured models who have won so much acclaim after her. Maybe we'll be fortunate enough to see her become a truly full-figured goddess once more. Let's hope.

I think this picture offers the best argument yet that Valerie might, just might, be recovering her gorgeous curves, and thus her beauty. I'm wary of models possibly "padding" after what Lindsey disclosed in her interview, where she noted that some models engage in this awful practice, but if this sincerely represents Valerie's figure, then she is on the way back to becoming a true goddess once more. She looks stunning.

This may be career wear, but Valerie's ultra-feminine figure shapes it into an attractive form, and the outfits suggests the richness of her hips.

From the reverse view, Valerie gives this dress an extremely seductive shape.

She looks luscious in this dress as well, from both perspectives:

Making even a casual outfit look terrific, thanks to her curvy physique.

And here's a photo that I'll add, not because it suggests Valerie's lovely figure, but just because it's a beautiful photo, with a very graceful pose from the model, and a rich colour of sleepwear.
