Kaela Humphries now with Ford

Fans of this exotic model will be delighted to learn that she has now signed with the Ford division in New York.

Better still, her online composite card indicates her genuinely full-figured proportions: 38dd-<strong>38</strong>-46.<p><center><img src="http://www.judgmentofparis.com/kh/kaela-ford.png"></center><p>The waist measurement is especially commendable, as it helps to shatter the long-standing and utterly ridiculous myth that plus-size must have narrow waists. Rather, as full-figured women do, they can exhibit a variety of different body types. To have plus-size models with generous midsections can help curvy women recognize that they should feel comfortable about their naturally opulent proportions.

Indeed, in a quote shared in an <a href="http://fashionista.com/2012/03/ford-signs-kris-humphries-sister-kaela-to-its-plus-size-model-division/" target="_blank">article</a> on Fashionista.com, top Ford agent Gary Dakin offered the welcome comment that Kaela <i>"is a true size 16-18 and is going to be a fantastic asset to Ford."</I> Given the perennially frustrating reluctance of various New York agencies to represent or promote models who <i>are</I> a "true size 16-18," to have a Ford representative <i>praising</i> the fact that a new model is genuinely full-figured is a encouraging development.

Let us hope that Miss Humphries remains a "true size 16-18" and enjoys a notable career, and that her success will, in turn, pave the way for further successes for more plus-size models in sizes 16, 18, and up.

I think she could easily be one of my favorite plus-size models. And how come that news doesn't surprise me? But then again, she has that certain something that I find attractive.

I also enjoyed Kaela's guest appearance on the show Kim and Kourtney Take New York, which showed moments of genuine emotion on her part, even if the "reality" in reality TV is a doubtful proposition. The video was posted on this forum earlier this year:

It's long past time that size 16/18 becomes re-established as the baseline size of the industry's plus-size models. I hope that Kaela, Katherine Roll, Lindsey Garbelman, and every other model who shares such genuinely full-figured proportions enjoy increased success and visibility.

Ford Models has just released a brief new video interview with Kaela in which she discusses how gratified she felt at the positive media response that ensued upon her signing a contract with the agency. As Kaela did in the various Kardashian-related TV shows, she seems refreshingly modest and down to earth, without any pretentiousness.

Her attire is simple, but accentuates her buxom curves, particularly towards the end of the video. No full-length shots, but one does receive the impression that she is a true plus-size model and legitimately curvaceous, as her stats attest.

I hope that Ford, and other plus-size agencies (and for that matter, clients) take a lesson from the positive reaction to Kaela's signing, which is that the public is clamouring for fuller-figured plus-size models, and will avidly embrace them when they appear.

People magazine just published a video featuring Kaela.

It's a great bit of film, showing a few comments from the model as well as behind-the-scenes clips from a shoot.

In the shoot footage, she looks gorgeous, lounging sensually on a sofa, and looking very buxom.

Even in the interview footage she looks pretty, with the pink accessories and reds and pinks in the closet behind her giving her complexion a rosy touch. Plus, her eyes are mesmerizingly, beautifully blue.
