For several seasons, the talent rosters of the various plus-size agencies have been remarkably static, displaying few new faces, and even fewer significant departures. But the past week or two has seen the introduction of at least three notable new talents. And since it's been ages since we posted an "introduction" thread on this forum, we thought that this would be a good time to remedy that oversight by giving these fair damsels a mention.
Each of the models is somewhat on the thin side, right on the border between faux-plus and genuinely full-figured. But they all listed as size 14, so who knows? In time, they may acquire more generous proportions, and if they do, then any one of the three may someday appear on our survey page.
First and foremost, Hughes Models in the U.K. recently debuted a new face named Lousie
(not to be confused with the Ford model of the same name). Her stats are given as 39.5"-36"
-42.5", and it is her curvaceous waist measurement (the same as Kelsey Olson's) which sets her apart from her rivals, and will undoubtedly win her many fans.
Also working in Louise's favour is her non-Amazonian height (5'8) (which endows her with a more natural and less vertically elongated silhouette), along with her fair complexion, long hair, and the soft roundness of her facial features.
She also is adept at presenting a truly irresistible pout.
It will be interesting to see how Louise's career progresses on the far side of the Atlantic, where the junior-plus industry has always been severely under-represented. You can see Louise's complete Hughes portfolio here.* * *
A recent addition to Dorothy Combs Models in Miami is Jessie Williams.
At 5'11, with measurements 38d"-32"-44", Jessie is just barely curvaceous enough to be regarded as genuinely plus-size, and one can only hope that in time, she might become fuller-figured.
With fair features, flowing blonde hair, and a round facial shape, Jessie (along with the other two models in this discussion) possesses timeless beauty, yet at the same time, exhibits contemporary qualities as well.

We wish her much success.
And third, we have Justine Legault, new at Ford Toronto, standing 5'9 with measurements 36d"-31"-46".
It is the latter stat that qualifies her as a true plus-size model. In some of her images, she appears more curvaceous, while in others, rather willowy.
But let's take Ford at their word, and hope that Justine acquires a fuller look in the future. Her facial features are lovely, and she could easily become a noteworthy talent.
So, there you have it--three lovely new faces, in three different countries. Most aficionados will point out that the industry still desperately needs fuller-figured models, but at least all three of these talents are above a size 12, and can represent the industry well, from an aesthetic point of view.
We wish all of them much success in helping to convince the public that plus-size models embody the true ideal of feminine beauty.
