What Torrid's Model Searches effectively demonstrate is that North America is filled with gorgeous, full-figured girls who are stylish, comfortable with their body types, and are interested in spending their resources on items that will accentuate their feminine beauty (fashion, cosmetics, etc.), rather than on methods of torturing themselves needlessly.
The mass media may pretend that this "Torrid generation" doesn't exist. It may prevent them from appearing in film, television and magazines. But these voluptuous vixens comprise the "silenced majority," the aesthetic centre of contemporary society. And the day will yet come when media will have no choice but to reflect the beauty of the world around them.
