Default Elena Miro interviews Barbara Brickner

(Originally posted on the Judgment of Paris Forum, August 31, 2004.)

The newest issue of Elena Miro magazine (the European equivalent of Charming Shoppes' Figure) has not yet reached North American shores. However, courtesy of our Italian friend and ally, we can already offer an English translation of what is surely the issue's most compelling feature--an original interview with Elena Miro's muse, Barbara Brickner.

The interview itself, titled "I, Barbara" (linked below), is rather brief, and one has the sense in the writer's final comment that she dearly wished to continue the conversation, if only it had been possible. The writer prefaces the transcript of her discussion with a series of impressions of the model, and her feelings of awe and reverence towards Barbara are clearly evident. Indeed, it is almost as if she is speaking on behalf of Elena Miro as a whole, and expressing the entire company's admiration of their celebrated goddess--like Pygmalion interviewing Galatea.

Barbara Brickner at her feline best, in the editorial pages of Glamour magazine, April 1998:
