Three models currently reign in the junior category as plus-size modelling's brightest lights of the future. There is Christina Schmidt and Kelsey Olson, of course, and the third would undoubtedly be the gorgeous Lindsey Garbelman
, a size-14/16 goddess signed with the Arthur Arthur agency in Miami.
Lindsey shares with Christina and Kelsey those ideally round, soft facial features that are the hallmark of timeless beauty, and she possesses one of the most stunning figures of any model in the industry.
Lindsey also had the great fortune of becoming known to the world through a prom-dress campaign, and, as we discussed in an essay
on the subject last year, plus-size goddesses look more attractive in prom dresses (and in wedding gowns) than in any other manner of attire, since these styles are expressly made to showcase the wearer's feminine charms.
For months, readers have been asking when they would get to see new images of Lindsey, and now, at last, we can oblige. Sydney’s Closet
has unveiled the first of its Prom 2006 offerings, and we are delighted to see that Lindsey appears in one of the new gowns:
If anything, she looks more alluring now than she did a year ago. Her attractions have only increased, and she looks even more comfortable with herself than before--a "voluptuous vixen" if ever there was one.
Let's hope that Sydney's Closet will be unveiling more images of Lindsey as the prom season shifts into full gear. And if this gown is an offering from Aurora Formals, perhaps we will be seeing new images of Lindsey at the company site, as well. Miss Garbelman is a truly extraordinary talent, and could aid the cause of size celebration immeasurably, if she is given the chance* * *
Incidentally, fans of Yanderis Lodos (DC Models, Miami) can also see several new images of this popular model at Sydney's Closet.
Yanderis became known through an exceptional Addition-Elle campaign in 2002, but it was in her subsequent Fashion Bug promotion in 2003 that she blossomed into one of the industry's most remarkable beauties.
A promotion featuring both Lindsey and Yanderis is a real coup for Sydney's Closet (and for Aurora Formals, which presumably put the campaign together). The resulting images will show the world that, when it comes to that magical teen-princess rite de passage known as the prom, full-figured goddesses outshine their underweight rivals at every turn, and are the undisputed belles of the ball.
