Default Dillards model

Along with companies like Torrid, Nordstrom, Reitmans, and a few others, I think Dillards deserves credit for using fuller-figured models. Ive mostly noticed in it their junior plus section, which has some cute clothes, but I also think they tried to do something attractive with the model in this image. The outfit isnt for everybody, but I think the way she is standing, and looking the camera in a very languid way (you can see the image better in zoom), along with the fact that she has a soft, natural looking figure, makes it an effective presentation.

This model has previously been seen working for Bealls Florida, a company that has also been known to use genuinely full-figured girls. It's a shame that Bealls's promotional images are so diminutive:

Note how much better the very feminine cut of the outfit in the middle image above (whatever one thinks of the pattern) accentuates her figure, than the more generic styles to the left and right.

And while the Dillard's ensemble may not suit everyone's taste, at least the company gets marks for presentation, obviously going for a luxurious look. And it is always rewarding to see a model in a commercial promotion who might actually wear a dress size better than a 14. The soft fullness of her curves gives the outfit an appeal that it would not otherwise possess.
