Ford pioneered the practice of accompany its girls' portfolios with short online videos (as originally discussed here), and it is encouraging to see that the agency is keeping its models' videos updated.

The latest incarnations of the Ford videos, besides presenting close-ups, profiles, and walking shots of the girls, also feature the models saying a few words about themselves (e.g., describing their personalty and their interests). This is an effective way for the girls to demonstrate their speaking ability. The only danger is that the models might reveal something that could turn off potential clients, so they should be cautious about what information they volunteer.

The best of the new videos belongs to Liis, who has the benefit of considerable television experience on Canadian networks. What makes Liis's video particularly attractive is the fact that model has recently developed a more luscious figure--and in particular, boasts a fuller waist measurement (with stats 38c-37-43).

The styling for this video is excellent, as it shows Liis wearing a form-fitting pink top that lovingly embraces her opulent midriff, and exhibits a flattering cross-your-heart design at the bust.

In the video, Liis also exhibits a variety of facial expressions, many of which show off that particularly attractive facial feature of hers, the "slight rise" of a "slope towards the throat":

Of course, several of Ford's most captivating girls have not yet filmed a promotional video, or have only uploaded short cellphone vid clips rather than being given the full agency-camera treatment, so we look forward to seeing future videos from Ford.

Excitingly, Wilhelmina has also recently begun posting online videos of its models. Alas, clips of the agency's most popular stars have not yet been released, but so far, two of the girls' films are worth sharing, to offer a sense of the Wilhelmina shooting "style."

First, here is Casey McCabe. Although Casey is regrettably only a size 12, what makes her video admirably size-positive is that the soft curves along the model's back are clearly visible.

Casey also takes full advantage of her long tresses, twirling them in an eye-catching manner (and still showing off the attractive curves along her back).

The only other Wilhelmina video model who is curvaceous enough to be considered legitimately plus-size is Megan Graves, whose best work can be seen at David's Bridal. Megan is tall, and would look more impressive with a fuller figure, but note that she does have a "look." And although we have introduced her with a smiling screen cap, observe in her video that she is particularly adept at generating the kind of steamy, alluring expressions that are generally associated with Sports Illustrated swimwear models.

These videos offer the public rare glimpses of plus-size beauty in living motion, which is essential for awakening societal appreciation of the fuller female figure.

From a practical point of view, at a time when more and more retailers are accompanying their print promotions with TV or video ads (e.g., Evans' recent commercials featuring Crystal Renn), these clips are indispensable for offering clients a more three-dimensional impression of a model's look and talent.

We are now eagerly look forward to seeing promotional clips featuring the industry's most exciting and popular goddesses.

Ford L.A. has just released a video of its most curvaceous model, Erica Layne, and this is one of the more impressive model videos to date.

Perhaps there are models with prettier facial features than Ms. Layne, but few have more attractive figures. Erica is a luscious size 16, and the video plays up her shapely proportions.

Although the colour of the dress is darker than one might have advised (goddesses should avoid dark colours, in favour of lighter shades), the dress does emphasize the model's buxom qualities.

The dress wisely avoids binding at the midriff, but instead draws in just underneath the bust, emphasizing this feature, and allowing Erica's seductively full 35" waist to swell freely, rather than binding it.

The dress also exhibits an especially attractive detail of the model's figure--the soft curves along her back. It is always encouraging to see plus-size models showing women that they should celebrate their natural curves, rather than hiding or disguising them.

The dress also shows off Ms. Layne's attractive proportions during her runway walk.

But the most size-positive aspect of the video comes near the end, as the model dons swimwear, and exhibits one of the most womanly swimwear figures in the industry.

Erica's hourglass-plus-pear proportions are ideal for showcasing swimwear. Her video may show other full-figured women just how gorgeous they could look in swim fashions.

Ms. Layne is attractive and genuinely full-figured, and is hopefully part of a trend in the industry towards using true plus-size models.
