Kelsey: Costume fantasy
Fans who can't get enough of Kelsey's Hallowe'en promotion at Torrid will be delighted to learn that Miss Olson has shot yet another costume series this season for a different company--a wholesaler named Rubie's.
Rubie's will be familiar to long-time readers of this site for enlisting the services of popular plus-size model Andrea Horblitt to showcase last year's Hallowe'en offerings. But nothing you have seen before could have prepared you for images as gorgeous as these.
Most stunning of all is this absolutely breathtaking picture of Kelsey looking literally like a Greek goddess--which she surely is. Never has a model as definitively embodied Classical beauty as Miss Olson does here. Looking at this picture, one truly believes that she is Aphrodite herself--if even the goddess of beauty was ever this gorgeous. Notice especially the sensual roundness of her arms, as soft as an infant's limbs, free of any muscle tone, their shape due entirely to the fullness that results from self-indulgence. Note how the gold armlets press into her soft flesh. The gown hints at the model's buxom curves, womanly hips, and, most important of all, a generous waist--a feminine attribute that Classical artists far preferred to a caved-in midriff. The glimpse of the model's leg is a sensual touch. And Kelsey's pose is truly goddesslike--a graceful stance suggesting alluring indolence--while her expression is innocent yet appetitive.
A second Grecian gown has an entirely different character, as does Kelsey's demeanour. If the above image presents Kelsey as a Classical goddess, this one characterizes her as a flesh-and-blood Antique beauty.
Here, she is Helen of Troy rather than Venus. Notice the more obvious display of her buxom charms. The golden tresses--Kelsey's own--flown gently over her neck and shoulders. The crown seems to be a gilded laurel wreath, an Antique tiara awarded to the loveliest of Greek maidens, the one who would inspire Praxiteles to immortalize her magnificent figure in marble. Kelsey's hale, robust beauty suggests the lavishly-indulged lifestyle of one who has capitalized on her charms to lead a pampered, pleasurable existence.
As much as Kelsey is the Classical ideal come to life, she is also everyone's dream-vision of a fairy-tale maiden, which is undoubtedly why the majority of her photographs for Rubie's show her in princess-like gowns. When Disney conceived of Aurora in the film Sleeping Beauty, he surely had Kelsey in mind.
The gown displays a dizzying expanse of Kelsey's person, with a generous view of her decolletage. The black ribbon around the neck is a chic touch, and the glittering crown symbolizes the pre-eminence of Kelsey's regal figure.
Even more stunning, however, is the sight of Kelsey in this princess-like dress.
Notice how much more alluring her expression is in this image, her eyes revealing a naked hunger that belies the calm blue of her dress, an almost wanton glance that plays off against her attire--which is the model of innocence. Her face looks sensually full, and even her forearms concealed in the fitted white gloves appear soft and rounded. The pink rose is a captivating accessory.
A profile view in the same gown is breathtaking. Kelsey looks magnificently buxom here, yet her waist still appears generous. Her face is as full as a ripe peach. Her expression is softer here, more vulnerable, yet still conveys that mix of desire and invitation, engaging the viewer.
But the reverse view of Kelsey in this dress is the most sensual of all. The luscious curves along the model's back are unmistakable, showing through the fabric of the gown. No physical traits could be more alluring than these soft contours, betokening as they do a well-fed figure and a self-indulgent lifestyle that is entirely suited to a high-born princess. The model's glance, turned slightly over her shoulder, seems to acknowledge and sanction viewers' interest, offering tacit permission for her admirers to gaze upon her, as if she knows how entranced they must be by her soft curves.
In Sleeping Beauty, Princess Aurora's dress magically transforms from blue to pink throughout the ending of the film, leaving the audience to decie which hue is the loveliest. We happen to favour pink--for Miss Olson as well as for Briar Rose--since it brings out what Charlotte Bronte would call Kelsey's "plump and pink and flaxen attributes."
Notice how Kelsey's face looks even rounder here somehow, even fuller and more beautiful. Her hair flows in big half-uncurled waves over her shoulders, a hairstyle that conveys an alluring sense of the model's seductive laziness. Kelsey's beauty seems effortless--the look of a princess who is blessed with so much natural attractiveness that she hardly needs to do a thing, but merely exist, merely get up out of bed, for every suitor to fall on his knees before her.
A profile view again shows Kelsey's incredibly buxom charms. The pink ribbon around her neck is adorably girlish, and plays off against her robust, full facial features.
Rubie's Alice in Wonderland costume offers fans a rare opportunity to see a figure feature that doesn't always turn up in Kelsey's modelling pictures--her full, shapely legs. In many of her images, Kelsey's limbs look surprisingly thin, but this outfit reveals their natural roundness.
Kelsey's legs appear soft, in a very feminine manner, shaped by considerable fullness. (Notice too the very cute white socks.)
An adorable image of Kelsey with a little girl offers another lovely view of her gorgeous legs. Observe that although Miss Olson is a young woman, she actually possesses more inherently girlish features than her little friend--which is why Kelsey is the ideal storybook model.
A profile shot allows Kelsey to return to her overtly sensual demeanour. Again, there is that thrilling hunger in her eyes, and the look of decadent fullness in her face. (Notice the curve under her chin.) The model's buxom contours, and the indolent flow of her golden hair, heighten the alluring effect.
A fairy-tale series would not be complete without Kelsey portraying Goldilocks. (Is any other model so perfectly suited to this role?) The identification is cleverly made by the embroidered bear on her apron, and the teddy-bear in her hand. Yet somehow, although this is the most youthful and girlish of all of the costumes, it makes the model even more desirable. Notice once again the display of the model's shapely legs.
A close-up shows the distinctive "Goldilocks" hairstyle, which creates an irresistible wish on the part of the model's admirers to run their hands through her hair. (This is the first time that we have seen Kelsey in ringlet curls, and the look definitely suits her.) Observe the soft curve under the model's chin--a supremely sensual touch. And notice how skillfully Kelsey alters her demeanour, from cute and cuddly in this image,
to frankly alluring in the next. Here, Kelsey evokes the quality of a vixen who plays at appearing girlish because she knows how irresistible it makes her; cleverly pretending to be innocent in order to get whatever she wants. Her buxom curves make her intensely desirable, and notice also the fullness of her arm.
A reverse view offers another look at her shapely legs.
We have seen Kelsey personify Red Riding Hood before, but this version is even more alluring. Kelsey looks overtly seductive here, far more dangerous than any predatory wolf. The skirt is cut excitingly high, offering an unprecedented view of the model's soft, full legs.
And now, here is something completely unique: a first-ever view of Kelsey as a brunette, interpreting Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz. (The similarity to the Red Riding Hood costume is pronounced.) The bodice appears barely able to contain her swelling waist. The outfit is gorgeous, but one has to admit that Kelsey is far more gorgeous as a blonde.
Thus ends Rubies' fairy-tale series--and an amazing series it is. However, the company also features Kelsey in several other diverse costumes. Here, for example, as a compliment to the princess gowns above, is Miss Olson in a medieval "wench" outfit. It's pretty, of course, thanks to the model's buxom beauty, but the role of a princess suits Kelsey much better.
For a more traditional Hallowe'en look, here is Miss Olson in a witch costume--and never was there an enchantress as pretty as Kelsey. Observe how the generous circumference of her waist and the womanly curves of her hips give the outfit an alluring shape.
Such a beauty needs no potions to ensnare the viewer's heart. Her magical beauty the only spell that she needs to bewitch any man she desires.
Here is Kelsey in a vampiric guise. Her blonde tresses, fair complexion, and blood-red lips make her utterly irresistible--the personification of Rosalie Hale from Twilight. Any man would willingly pour out his life's blood to satisfy her insatiable cravings.
The new Rubie's images of Kelsey are utterly breathtaking, and amply testify to her extraordinary beauty and modelling talent. Of all of the models who are currently working in the industry, Kelsey is the ideal storybook princess, the perfect fairy-tale beauty, possessing every timeless feminine attribute: fair eyes, golden tresses, a light complexion, and, most important of all, a soft, well-fed figure.

Re: Kelsey: Costume fantasy
These images are even more moving and beautiful than those we've seen from the Torrid costume campaign. The Greek-inspired images are positively arresting. How wonderful to see Kelsey as Aphrodite and Helen of Troy!
I love the image of Kelsey with the little girl; one can hope that this child will take Kelsey's example to heart, growing up with the confidence to embrace her own beauty.

I must say, Kelsey as a greek goddess just highlights exactly how goddess-like she is.
Throughout all of those photos, one can surely say that she is photogenic, no matter what 'character' she is portraying...
I like the side and rear shots as it makes for a 'transparency' of each outfit, and Kelsey pulls it off well!
