Default Chloe: The Greatest Journey

Admirers of Irish songbird Chloe Agnew have much to celebrate.

Her musical group, Celtic Woman, has just embarked on an extended tour of the U.S., so fans can see the curvaceous chanteuse live and in person in just about any major American city.

All aficionados of plus-size beauty should attend the show. And if you do, be sure to sit as close as possible to the stage. In real life, Chloe is far more gorgeous than any of her pictures or videos have ever shown. Her beauty must be seen to be believed.

Celtic Woman also recently released a "greatest hits" DVD titled The Greatest Journey, parts of which aired over PBS during the holidays. Although this new disc does not feature any new music videos, merely excerpts from the group's two previous DVDs, it does include a captivating new hour-long documentary about the Celtic Woman story, with many gorgeous images of young Miss Agnew, as well as charming and ebullient commentary from our Celtic princess. That alone makes the DVD a must-have.

To alleviate any suspense, here is the loveliest sequence in the video.

As Chloe is seen performing on stage, she turns her head, allowed her long, luxuriant tresses to flow freely around her.

Her soft fullness is evident. She beams with joy--an enchantress if ever there was one.

Chloe is now a mature girl of 19, but this video follows her progress all the way back from her beginnings with Celtic Woman four years ago.

At that tender young age, she had already recorded her first solo album, with another on the way.

Her early success enabled her to be completely comfortable in a show-business environment, even among soloists more than twice her age.

It is fascinating to watch her learning the Celtic Woman show choreography,

studying her vocal scores,

and singing with the other girls for the first time.

Her soprano voice already possessed the crystalline clarity that gives it its angelic beauty.

In these early shots, Chloe is distinguished by her incredibly long, beautiful hair.

The camera frequently catches her running her hands through her hair in a mermaid-like fashion.

Her tresses veritably have a life of their own.

But it is on stage that Chloe's personality really shines. Note, by the way, this attractive casual outfit, with a fitted top that defines her lovely curves.

The performance clips offer fans a rare opportunity to see Chloe in dresses that she only wore for the Celtic Woman tours, and never on any of their official DVDs. (Observe the apple-cheeked fairness of her complexion.)

This blue gown is particularly pretty because it is sleeveless and shows off her gorgeous arms (as do the gowns in the group's current tour).

This image of the same dress shows Chloe with her enchanting mermaid hair. Today, her tresses are still long and luxurious, but one misses the truly incredible length that she once possessed.

The video also provides rare glimpses of Chloe on stage--rare because audience members are not permitted to photograph or videotape the girls during their live performances.

Here Chloe takes a bow--positioned, of course, in front of the rest of the girls. Notice how the spotlight is trained directly on her.

This capture shows her singing "Ave Maria," with harp accompaniment.

Here she is in the same sleeveless outfit.

Although blurry, this capture shows her performing with her group during the St. Patrick's Day Parade in New York City. The flared skirt is very pretty and feminine.

Besides performances, the documentary features Chloe at Celtic Woman's famous "Meet & Greet" events with fans,

as well as in promotional photoshoots with the group.

Notice her shapely waist in this attractive dress. (Chloe always looks lovely in white.)

Several shots feature Chloe travelling from one venue to the next. Notice the attractive "slight rise" of a "slope toward the throat" in this still.

The scenes remind one of just how young Chloe was when her Celtic Woman adventure began.

One shot actually shows her playing a child's hand-clapping game with one of the group's other soloists.

But her prodigious beauty--which has only increased over time--is already evident, even at such a young age, as is a sophistication beyond her years.

Perhaps the most genuine and unaffected scenes show Chloe in casual activities, such as texting friends,

lounging between recording sessions (notice her shapely legs),

or clowning around with the other Celtic Woman soloists.

Fans who admire Chloe as an icon of positive body image will appreciate how curvaceous she appears in these candid shots.

The video shows her becoming ever-more gorgeous as the years pass, and she blossoms into womanhood.

The more recent images, such as these from a recording session, find her looking curvier and more attractive than ever.

Her personal fashion style has developed as well. Notice the eye-catching accessories in this outfit.

But Chloe is undoubtedly most beautiful when she is dressed in the elegant gowns that have become a Celtic Woman trademark.

Here she is at a recent CW promotional photoshoot looking truly celestial.

Her distinctive hairstyle, fairer now than when she was younger, is utterly enchanting, with her tresses flowing in romantic waves.

In the most recent scenes, filmed just for the documentary, Chloe discusses her career to date.

Like Whitney's camera confessionals in America's Next Top Model, these clips show off the beauty of Chloe's facial features,

and capture her in a multitude of diverse expressions.

The extreme close-ups display the exquisite softness of her face especially well.

From a fashion perspective, the very prettiest images in the video show Chloe wearing one of the cutest and most feminine tops that we have ever seen. The colours--white and pink, with a delicate floral pattern--ideally complement Chloe's soft, fair beauty, and the design accentuates her buxom contours.

How one wishes that Chloe had the time to do some modelling. She would be one of the greatest plus-size models, given the opportunity.

As mentioned above, Chloe is currently on an American tour with Celtic Woman (the schedule of which can be found here). Admirers of timeless beauty are very much encouraged to attend of the group's concerts. With the increased number of ensemble songs in this new tour, Chloe is on stage for most of the show's duration, decked out in two gorgeous new gowns that alone are worth the price of admission. She has never been more beautiful.

Chloe is so inspirational, and such a positive role model for curvy girls. And oh, what a voice. If anyone could record the singing of angels, it would sound like Chloe.

I did a little Web searching, and found several images of Chloe that have never been posted here before. Most interestingly, here are two photos of Chloe in the first of the two new gowns for the current tour.

I love how she completely dominates the images whenever she is seen with the other members of Celtic Woman. Your eyes go right to her.

It's a shame that the photos don't show the dress from the second half of the new show, though, because it's even more beautiful. And both dresses are sleeveless, which makes them especially attractive on Chloe, who has such lovely arms.

Here's a picture of Chloe (right) with her mother. The colours of the dress, white with pink accents, are perfect for her fair beauty.

The news is that Chloe will be releasing a new solo CD later this year, and has been invited to sing on the forthcoming album of "an Italian tenor." (No word yet on who that might be.) I can't wait.

Chloe was interviewed a couple of days ago by a New York radio station. This video plays the audio of that interview over a Chloe still photo.

I love listening to her talk. Her speaking voice, with its melodic lilt, is just as beautiful as her singing voice.

Chloe and Celtic Woman appeared on The Today Show this morning and gave a lovely a capella rendition of that Irish favourite, "Danny Boy."

I absolutely loved it. Chloe gives a wonderful answer to the host's question about Irish music. Watch also right at the beginning, after Chloe sings the first line of "Danny Boy," the camera lingers on her, even after the next performer begins singing. It's as if the cameraman couldn't take his eyes off of her (and who can blame him?).

Also, watch for an especially beautiful shot in the second verse as the girl in the blue dress is singing melody and Chloe is singing harmony. It's a two-shot of both of them, with Chloe fading in as a ghostly overlay, just as her voice does.

Just in time for St. Patrick's Day, Chloe and her group performed another touching rendition of "Danny Boy" this morning, on The Morning Show with Mike & Juliet.

Here's the video:

The lighting was brighter in this performance, so you could really see the soft fullness of Chloe's facial features. Very pretty video- although the show infuriatingly cut to commercial before the song was over!

Chloe enthusiasts might enjoy these two remarkable wallpapers created by one of her fans, a Celtic Woman aficionado named Scott.

Here's a buxom image of Chloe photoshopped into a waterfall background:

Here's a moodier, more spiritual picture of Chloe in a convent-like setting:

Nice images, both.

I love that image with the waterfall background. I feel like it could be used as the basis for a fine Art Nouveau painting. It's certainly just as pleasant to look at her as it is to hear her sing.

I haven't followed Dancing with the Stars since Sabrina Bryan was on the program, but I tuned in eagerly last night - because Chloe Agnew was on the show.

She and the other members of Celtic Woman performed "You Raise Me Up." Unfortunately, this being a dance show, the camera frequently cut away from the girls to a pair that was doing an interpretive dance to the song. However, Chloe has a nice close-up when she sings at 00:43 in the video, and again later in the song.

Her tresses were arranged in an especially beautiful way. She's gorgeous.
