Default Kelsey Olson in the Big City

Countless fans have been asking ("imploring," "entreating," and yes, even "begging" might be more accurate terms) to see more images of Kelsey Olson, and we are delighted to say that Miss Olson recently made a journey to New York, and did some testing while she was there.

Here is the first glimpse of Miss Olson in the Big City, courtesy of photographer Stanley Debas--and the photograph is certainly revealing, isn't it? Even if one did not know the circumstances of the shoot, one would ascribe to it a narrative, of a young innocent in a dark and unfamiliar environment. Kelsey's new haristyle--those thick, fairytale half-uncurled tresses--reinforce the idea of her as a storybook princess in an unfamiliar setting--out in the "big, bad world."

One might even read in this picture a continuation of the "awakening" motif of the last Kelsey Olson series. As the next step in her journey, our young heroine has entered possibly menacing territory, and feels the peril of her surroundings. But what to make of that passionate red dress? Perhaps the is better prepared for this new challenge than one might think, and in these new circumstances, she will draw upon hitherto-unperceived abilities, and realize greater potential.

The journey continues . . .

"Requesting," in my case. I've been hoping that Kelsey would become more prominent. Apart from one or two Torrid models, there isn't much plus-size representation in the teen/early 20s age group. We need more! And Kelsey, like Christina Schmidt, is the ideal "face" of her generation.

There's always something unique about a Kelsey Olson shot. She is so expressive, and so lovely. I hope we get to see more.

Beautiful dress, too- at least, what I can see of it.

Here is a better look at the styling involved. Red always looks stunning on Kelsey, and the gold bracelet is an essential touch.

The prom magazines publish their annual issues early in the new year. We cannot imagine a more perfect model to star in a plus-size prom layout than Miss Olson--or, for that matter, to personify a young bride in a bridal magazine. With her unique posing abilities and innocent qualities, she can appear older or younger, as the situation demands.

Kelsey represents a rare opportunity for the industry. Let's hope that her potential is realized.

But now for something really special, here is another new photograph of Kelsey from her latest series that is by far one of our favourite glimpses of this gorgeous model. This image, better than any yet, reveals her goddesslike qualities. The softer makeup is enchanting, and the vulnerable expression is utterly irresistible. When you see Kelsey presented in this manner, the eye can scarcely believe that such beauty is humanly possible. And perhaps there is, in fact, a touch of the divine about her . . .

I am absolutely speechless. That last picture is the one that really shows Kelsey in the best light. At first I was thinking, "I preferred her with straight hair," but then that last photo reavealed her beauty in full measure. I think that could be my favorite picture of Kelsey yet. And what Kaitlynn said is so true - there is no one else who creates expressions like hers. She has this melting look in her eyes that is like something out of a dream.

She also looks more relaxed in that photo, which is a mood I adore. I wish we saw Kelsey more often.

I think it's an even more effective expression than "relaxed." I would call it "languid," almost hypnotic. Captivating.

Whoever did her hair for that last photo deserves a prize of some sort. Kelsey embodies the fairy-tale princess look better than any other model since Shannon Marie, or the days when Valerie Lefkowitz was fuller-figured. Her beauty really is quite remarkable; even here, where beauty is seen so often, she stands out.

Kelsey looks like an angel in that last picture. She looks so gorgeous. She is like one of the Olsen sisters, Ashley Olsen, but much prettier because she has a normal figure. And I'm not saying that just because of her last name. Kelsey is breathtaking.

I agree with Melanie. I wish we saw more of her.

The next time I go out, I am going to try to create a look that's something like that. Or at least the makeup. I could never get my hair to look so beautiful.

Mr. Debas would like us to mention that the makeup artist for Kelsey's shoot was Karen Duncan, whom he recommends highly. The photographer has also just unveiled a new Web site, www.debasphotographys.com, which is well worth a visit.

If we are all very fortunate, perhaps he might add some more images from this latest shoot with Kelsey, in the near future . . .

In the meantime, here is a memorable image of this incomparable beauty from her last collaboration with Mr. Debas:
