Liis modelling swimwear (video)
Here in Canada, the daily CityLine TV program runs a segment at the end of every week called "Fashion Fridays," and on occasion, plus-size models do turn up on the program.
A few weeks ago, CityLine devoted a segment to summer swimwear, and Canadian plus-size model Liis Windischmann made an appearance, modelling two examples of full-figured swimwear. A video of Liis's segment is linked at the bottom of this page.
One of the swim outfits was a black garment of the sort that one usually associates with plus-size swim fashions. But even in this somewhat constricting outfit, viewers could see the attractive fullness of Liis's 37" waist--her most appealing figure feature.
Liis modelled the swimsuit in a confident manner, even brushing her hand languidly through her hair in several instances. The effect was quite eye-catching.
But it was Liis's appearance in the second swimsuit that really turned heads. Notice her appealingly vain expression in this capture.
In this far more comfortable outfit, not nearly as binding, the sensual swell of Liis's waist was clearly visible.
Nothing could be more alluring than the feminine roundness of Liis's figure in these captures, a figure-type similar to that found in Old Master paintings, in which such body types were enthusiastically celebrated.
The generous curves of the model's figure were particularly evident as she performed a turn for the camera.
Hopefully, the sight of Liis looking so lusciously proportioned will help more voluptuous vixens acquire a deserved sense of confidence about their naturally robust figures.
The CityLine program must be applauded for not attempting to minimize or disguise the model's curvaceous shape.
Even the reverse view achieved a size-positive effect, as the camera displayed the soft curves along the model's back--an intensely sensual figure feature,
as well as the dimpled flesh on the model's limbs--another womanly trait.
What a pity that most plus-size fashion campaigns and models' tests timidly minimize or disguise these natural figure features, as they are components of plus-size beauty. If more women saw gorgeous plus-size models exhibiting these features in fashionable images, they would free themselves of many stigmas about their appearance, and learn to appreciate their natural beauty. It is the untoned softness, the well-fed fullness of Liis's figure that makes her attractive, and establishes her as a much more appealing swimwear model than an overexercized faux-plus model would be--let alone any emaciated waif.
Again, CityLine deserves applause for selecting a visibly full-figured (size 14/16) model to display the summer's swim fashions.
