Default Bristol Palin on DWTS

Since I realize that this is a strictly non-political forum, I want to stipulate that this post has no political intentions whatsoever, right or left, pro or con.

However, I feel it worth mentioning that Bristol Palin was on Dancing with the Stars this evening, continuing that show's reasonably good tradition of including ever-so-slightly-curvier-than-average celebrities.

I still remember this forum's support for Sabrina Bryan when she was on DWTS, and Bristol is considerably prettier than Sabrina, and a bit fuller too. While she is nowhere near plus-size, not even faux-plus, she does show visible weight in her facial features - something that even many plus-size models lack.

Here's the clip of her performance this evening:

She has a lovely face and gorgeous hair. She seems a bit bashful being on TV, but that's understandable.

At any rate, in a television landscape that's dominated by the anorexics of 90210 and shows of that ilk, someone like Bristol is at least a slightly curvier, fuller, and more natural-looking image for young girls to see. I hope she remains on the show throughout the season.

Miss Palin is a beautiful young woman, with adorably round, rosy cheeks and lovely hair. As she matures, she may gain more fullness in her figure, as most women do. Such fullness will make her even more gorgeous than she is right now.

Here's this week's DWTS performance featuring Bristol:

Very pretty dress in color and design. I've always loved opera gloves, which remind me of Lillian Russell. It twirls up beautifully during the dance.

Bristol looked beautiful on tonight's show, in what was probably the loveliest dress she has worn yet, one that really embraced her figure. She's not plus-size, alas, but she does have a suggestion of curves - much more than most of the young women on TV.

I liked the "story" behind the dance too, with a down-on-his-luck male admirer yearning to win the hand of a princess.

Here's a bit of celebrity fluff that will please Bristol's fans:

Bristol Palin hasnt lost any weight on Dancing

By Daniela Elser Oct 4, 2010, 7:59 GMT

Bristol Palin has revealed she hasn’t slimmed down despite being put through being put through her paces on Dancing with the Stars.

“I haven’t really noticed a change in [my body],” Palin said. “I think most people lose weight [on the show] because they’re too stressed out to eat. I haven’t had that problem!"

I was worried when I first hear that she was going to be on the show that she would diminish, but the above quote indicates that she hasn't. I especially appreciate the last quote, which suggests that she authentically enjoys eating.

She's slim, but she does look well fed and soft, with a slight curve under the chin, which is why she's so pretty. If she were fuller figured, she would make a beautiful plus-size model.

This week, Bristol's performance on Dancing with the Stars was extraordinarily sensual and alluring. The outfit didn't show the fuller aspects of her figure, but rather her legs, which are slim; but still, the clip definitely illustrated how attractive she is, with those long, brunette tresses.

It's a gorgeous performance to watch. If she were to become a plus-size model (at a fuller size than she currently is, of course), she would be stunning.

This week's episode of DWTS required the contestants to dance to TV themes, and Bristol and her partner chose the theme to the '60s show The Monkees. The dance begins in a rather silly way, with the duo in monkey garb, but they take off their costumes early on, and Bristol is shown wearing a flirty pink halter-style dress, which shows off her back and shapely arms. Very pretty.

I love watching her on the program. She's gorgeous, has a curvy (if regrettably slim) figure, and a beautiful face with sensual fullness.

Here's the video of this week's performance with Bristol - the tango!

What a beauty. The outfit was nicely fitted to show off her reverse-view curves, and the slit was high enough to offer fans a glimpse of her womanly thighs.

Bristol's wardrobe has been really attractive on this show, sensual yet tasteful throughout. It's true that she falls under Clay's definition of celebrities who are called "curvy" but who aren't actually plus-size, but still, it's much preferable to be seeing Bristol on TV than the size-0 actresses that populate the CW network.

This week brought my favourite segment to date of Bristol dancing on DWTS. At last, she and her partner got to dance the waltz. The results are, of course, far more elegant and beautiful than anything that the couple has performed on the show thus far.

Appropriately, Bristol was outfitted in a gorgeous peach dress that, while flowing, still hugged her curves and showed off her lovely arms.

Exquisite video. Bristol definitely earned the most enthusiastic votes this week.

This week's episode of Dancing with the Stars had a distinctly Latin flavour. Bristol actually danced twice - first performing the tango. This was quite a passionate performance.

Her dress for the second number was even more daring. She danced the samba, except this was a special challenge where she and her partner didn't receive their music until 20 minutes before show time. Given that constraint, I thought they did very well. She has some catchy movements at 1:19.

Really gorgeous outfits. Although she isn't even nearly plus-size, still still exhibits visible weight in her face, which makes her quite beautiful, and at least displays a hint of curviness in her figure, which is so much preferable to all of the anorexic starlets in Hollywood.
