Default Lique Fleur - New agencies & images

I'm sure that everyone here remembers luscious Lique Fleur, the Dutch plus-size model who wowed everyone in several posts late last year, which showed her looking like a well-fed Victorian doll in her still photos, then transforming into a voluptuous vixen in her TV appearance.

Ever since her name vanished from her previous agency, I had been wondering what had happened to her. It turns out that she is now represented by two new Dutch agencies: "MaxiMe Models" and "Add Models."

The MaxiMe images show that she still has the ability to look like a delectable young curvy girl in her headshots.

Now, however, she has fortunately added some figure photos to her book as well. She looks adorable in this flower-print dress. It's a picture like this that can make "a young man's fancy lightly turn to thoughts of love" in the springtime:

This outfit is more utilitarian, but Lique's curves make it beautiful too.

Here's Lique's MaxiMe portfolio page, which lists her stats as 46-42-51 (yes, a 42" midsection), which gives her one of the most opulent waist measurements of any working plus-size model.

http://www.maximemodels.nl/index.ph...er=76&Itemid=13

Add Models also features this lovely headshot, which has Lique looking cozy and warm. Who wouldn't wish to cuddle up to this beauty in the midst of a cold winter?

Her Add Models portfolio page also lists her weight: 251 pounds. Given that she is 5'7, that's actually quite modest. But having her weight listed is wonderful, because it reminds the world that girls can weigh over 250 pounds and look gorgeous, as Lique does.

I'm delighted to see that Lique is still pursuing a modelling career. She's a stunning beauty, and just as importantly, she is genuinely full-figured. Judging by the commentary that plus-size customers offer the companies from whom they buy their clothes, Lique is much closer to the kind of model that full-figured women wish to see representing them than any of the faux-plus size 10s or 12 whom the labels try to pass off as plus-size.

We need more Lique Fleurs (or Lique herself!) modelling on this side of the Atlantic...

I definitely remember Lique Fleur. What an extraordinary beauty. Alas, she appears to be a tad less opulently proportioned than she was last year, but she is still curvier (and therefore more beautiful) than most plus-size models - still a size 20.

I turned up some more recent images of Lique at the Web site of a photographer named Robin Kamphuis. The first set shows her looking adorable, like a well-fed, Nordic incarnation of the Virgin Mary, with the crocheted shawl over her head.

http://www.robinkamphuis.nl/?projects=model-lique-fleur

She has a knack for looking cute and girlish in a way that makes the most of her butter-blonde loveliness.

And oh, my goodness, those crystalline blue eyes are mesmerizing.

She looks so round and...comfortable in this image.

There's a sheer delight in herself, in her own being, that she radiates in her best photos.

The same photographer has posted a second series with Lique and a number of other Dutch plus-size models. Lique, in the centre, wearing the red top, far outshines the others as the most gorgeous girl in the group. I love the rustic setting and the rich, natural colours.

Her headshot shows a fleshiness in her facial features that's very sensual.

Lique is so gorgeous! Definitely a timeless beauty of the first order. I hope her career will continue to progress - but I also hope that she doesn't diminish herself any further, but retains her sumptuous curves.

Default Lique Fleur - Red Riding Hood

Fairy-tale themes are definitely in the air these days. First we had the gorgeous Alexandra Newton personifying Cinderella, then the Australian model embodied Alice from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.

Now we have Lique Fleur, as seen through the lens of photographer Robin Kamphuis, donning a red cloak to transform herself into a buxom, well-fed Red Riding Hood and photographed in the authentic European Urwald.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/416325...57625556359860/

I have no doubt that the Brothers Grimm knew many a plump, roguish young German Mädchen just such as Lique, whom they had in mind as the protagonist of this and many other of their folk tales.

I love this dramatic image of Lique hiding in the midst of the forest to escape the clutches of the wolf. But who could blame any lupine predator for singling out this irresistibly beautiful girl as his quarry?

With her long, blonde tresses and blue eyes, Lique is the very epitome of a Nordic princess. The attire underneath the cloak looks wearable as contemporary fashion, yet it also has a distinctive folkloric/romantic quality, which ensures that this shoot is not an exercise in mere costume, but a bona fide fashion editorial.

Just like Alexandra, Lique is very good at telling a story in her images. Her troubled expression is completely convincing in this photograph. The viewer feels how threatened and vulnerable she is, and the glimpse of the luscious curve under her chin and the exposure of the dress under her cloak makes the image very sensual.

But then, suddenly, she throws open her cloak to show off the sumptuous fullness of her figure. Perhaps she has been the predator all along. (A vampire? A werewolf? I'm sure that any male companion would willingly offer himself to her, to satisfy her hunger.) Look at how wanton she now appears, with her tresses loose and flowing over her shoulders. It's amazing how completely she changes her persona for this image. Gorgeous.

It's a treat to see Lique taking advantage of her European heritage and her Nordic look to create a photoshoot such as this. Her genuinely full figure is the key to her beauty. I look forward to seeing more of her work.

Default Lique Fleur, baby soft

What a pleasure it is to see that Lique Fleur's modelling career is steadily progressing. She is at once a definitive embodiment of the timeless ideal--with her golden tresses, blue eyes, fair complexion, and full figure--and an absolutely unique beauty, possessing a look that is unlike that of any other model in the industry.

The previous photographs in this thread have largely been the work of the talented Robin Kamphuis, but we are now pleased to share several more images from the photographer who created the images that first brought Lique to the attention of the world, Lizet Beek.

The first picture is so enchanting that it seems to have emerged from a dream, or from a storybook illustration of a Nordic princess. Lique's fair tresses dance around her face in ecstatic abandon, as if they were her only raiment. She is veritably clad in her own golden hair. Any model can appear "edgy," but only true goddesses (following in the footsteps of Shannon Marie) can evoke the kind of soft, gentle beauty that Lique exhibits. She looks captivatingly wholesome and sweet, yet there is also a lively glint in her eye, the mischievous look of a girl who has just finished off an entire birthday cake when she was only supposed to eat one slice. Her sheer delight in herself, her self-adoration, is infectious. She is utterly free from guilt or shame, a girl who thrives on pure pleasure.

This profile shot is more thoughtful, yet at the same time more purely angelic. One of the secrets of Lique's irresistible appeal is the childlike youthfulness of her look. With her curly tresses and soft facial features, she resembles a young girl in this photograph, her eyes wide with wonder. One feels the urge to protect her and take care of her, to preserve her sacred innocence, to shelter her from the world's vicissitudes, and to spoil her by giving her everything she could ever desire.

A third image, also from the same shoot, finds Lique grinning with pure joy, her eyes an azure blue, her skin displaying a babylike softness. The way in which the one, stray tress blows over her eye is an enchanting touch. To be able to mix soft, gentle femininity with such a vivacious personality is a rare talent, one which Lique possesses in abundance. Paradoxically, viewing her images simultaneously fills one with sensations of both tranquility and excitement.

We interrupt this idyllic perusal of Lique's softest, more girlish images with a photograph that is unlike any other. This picture of Lique in a magnificent concoction of black tulle embellished with peacock features is a study in whimsical fantasy. The feathers are a wonderful touch, not only because they add a rich colour element, contrasting with the model's complexion, but also because the peacock is a traditional symbol of vanity, and any goddess as beautiful and well-fed as Lique deserves to be seductively vain. The peaches-and-cream fairness of her complexion glows in the diffused light, as if she were lit from within. Her expression is the even gaze of doll-like supermodels such as Gemma Ward. The dramatic makeup gives her sapphire eyes an arresting immediacy, yet with her timeless beauty the overall effect is still pleasing and accessible. While black is associated with "high" fashion, the tulle fabric gives this ensemble femininity, while the glimpse of decolletage adds a sensual touch. This image is a marvellous study in how a soft-featured model can enhance the appeal of haute couture in ways that an anorexic androgyne could never manage.

The next pair of headshots by a different photographer have a similar composition to those of Lizet Beek's portraits, but achieve a completely different effect. In this image in particular, the model looks openly provocative, her femininity charged with a new seductiveness. One might even dare to call the image erotic, such passion does it generate. Yet the youthful fairness of Lique's look renders the effect chic and tasteful. The delicate pink lace is a wonderfully girlish touch. Her frost-pink lips (the most irresistible of shades) are sensually parted, as if she were breathing rapidly or expecting a kiss. Her tresses appear thicker and heavier, almost suggesting a "wet look," while the stray lock draping over her face is an especially captivating touch. The fleshiness at her neck is irresistibly alluring. Her sideways glance is carnally appetitive. This is the appearance of a spoiled princess who has matured, and is used to getting what she wants, freely exercising her seductive power in order to indulge her passions.

A second image, likely from the same session, is both similar and very different. It too presents Lique as a doll-like beauty who possesses a maturity beyond her years, yet she still exhibits a childlike, girlish beauty. Her tresses cascade over her shoulders in luxurious waves. She wears a blouse with a floral print--soft and feminine, but without the seductive implications of pink lace. Her eyes demonstrate experienced insight, keenly scrutinizing the viewer, even as her face still possesses its babylike softness.

After such high-temperature sensuality, the final image is another departure, the one a fun double showing Lique interacting with another model, like two schoolgirls who have playfully made themselves up as part of their slumber-party festivities. One hardly knows if the stars around Lique's eyes are real or a figment of fantasy, for there is always a touch of magic around this plump, enchanting beauty.

It is a testament to Lique's extraordinary talent that she can transition from resembling the sweetest of angels to the most seductive of nymphets. Moreover, she can generates haute-couture looks that are far more pleasing than those of straight-size, high-fashion modernity.

As a gorgeous and genuinely full-figured model, an opulent size 20, Lique is exactly the kind of talent that the plus-size fashion industry should embrace. Any full-figured customers seeing apparel on Lique's curvaceous body would accurately determine how the clothing would look on their own figures, yet at the same time they would be inspired by the model's ideal beauty.

Let us hope that Lique's modelling career will continue to progress. She is far better suited to being a plus-size model than any of the faux-plus girls to which the North American industry regularly resorts (to the endless consternation of the public). Lique epitomizes what timeless beauty would look like in the modern age: a Helena Fourment living among us, centuries after she was Rubens's artistic muse and beloved bride; the prettiest of all Dutch flowers blossoming into full bloom.

A web search turns up one further captivating image of Lique, this one created by a photographer named Albert Eerenstein.

The Dutch love their pastel palettes, which suit Lique's soft beauty very well. The veil is a pretty touch, very Old World and romantic.

Always a pleasure to see new images of lovely Lique Fleur shot by Robin Kamphuis, who has taken so many beautiful pictures of this curvaceous model.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/416325...57626750298409/

My two favourites include this moody headshot with its evocative lighting, especially with Lique's blonde hair flowing over her bare shoulders. No trace of an unattractive clavicle, just soft fullness.

This full-length is very sensual, with the glimpse of Lique's voluptuous curves and her full legs. The fact that she's barefoot also makes it seem somehow intimate. This would be a fine ad for sleepwear.

It's such a pleasure to see this genuinely full-figured girl continuing to model. I earnestly hope her career thrives, and on both sides of the Atlantic. I equally hope that she will not diminish herself, but will keep her full-bodied proportions.
