Default Barbara at Kohls; next spring

I cant resist posting a new image of Barbara that I found at Kohls, in their latest flyer. Again, this is not an outfit I would ever notice if it wasnt Barbara modelling it. But Barbara is at the zenith of her beauty, and every image she creates is a masterpiece. Her face has that eternal sweetness, and I adore her with longer hair.

I also saw a pretty (if tiny) picture of Barbara in a email promo from Happy Size. She will be part of their campaign next spring. I cant wait! They always photograph her in such a gorgeous way......

Barbara's shapely curves transform any outfit into "goddess wear." And her beauty explains the principle of the aesthetic restoration better than any long-winded essay ever could.

With that in mind, we are always impressed whenever readers manage to encapsulate the point of our Web project in a clear and succinct manner. A visitor recently drew our attention to the following Web page, which is part of a site that invites readers to share comments and submit ratings for various cultural phenomena. One of the phenomena listed is none other than Mrs. Brickner herself. As the contributor who wrote her entry explains,

Barbara is one of the leading plus-size models in the fashion industry today. In many ways, she embodies femininity in its most classical sense, mixing an alluring beauty with luscious, full, Rubenesque curves that scream womanhood. If she is to be considered "[---]," it's only because we've forgotten what real women look like, what with so many underweight (and unfeminine) women on TV and in the movies who are held up as the paragon of beauty these days. Can Barbara Brickner, along with gorgeous peers like Emme, help re-establish what feminine beauty means -- and has meant for most of human history? See a fan page (with a link to picture galleries) at

We couldn't have put it better ourselves.

Here is that diminutive Happy Size Spring 2006 preview image, showing Barbara in a very relaxed, feminine ensemble, in a Mode-like tropical setting. The falling-off-the-shoulder manner of wearing this baby-pink sweater is irresistibly coquettish, making the reveal of the delicate bra/top underneath seem incredibly daring, even though the image is actually quite modest in what it exhibits.

A goddess can turn more heads with one bare shoulder than an androgynous model can wearing next-to-nothing . . .
