Default Anti-Cosmetic-Surgery League

Bravo to Kate Winslet and Rachel Weisz -- two actresses who, although extremely thin, are at least not as emaciated as most Hollywood celebrities -- for organizing something called the ''Anti-Cosmetic-Surgery League'':

Says the article:

Embracing her curves is nothing new to Kate Winslet, but now the actress is taking an active stand against the pressure in Hollywood for women to undergo cosmetic surgery.

The 35-year-old actress told London's The Telegraph that she and fellow British Oscar-winners Emma Thompson and Rachel Weisz have formed what she describes as the "British Anti-Cosmetic Surgery League."

"I will never give in," she said. "It goes against my morals, the way that my parents brought me up and what I consider to be natural beauty."...

"I am an actress, I don't want to freeze the expression of my face," Winslet said.

Newly-married Weisz, 41, said that people "who look too perfect don't look sexy or particularly beautiful."

Too "perfect"? That's the only sour note in this otherwise encouraging article and initiative. There is nothing remotely "perfect" about any woman who is disfigured by cosmetic surgery. On the contrary, plastic-surgery victims look disgusting.

The very thought of any woman getting "elective" cosmetic surgery is appalling. Plastic surgeons are butchers, plain and simple. The results are always repugnant, leaving the victims of such surgery deformed and artificial-looking.

Frankly, the whole procedure should be banned, except in the tragic cases of burn victims and such.

This is why it's so important for the plus-size fashion industry to feature models who are genuinely and visibly full-figured, who show all of the visible characteristics of plus-size beauty, from attractively soft curves to lovely dimpled flesh. This is natural beauty, i.e., true beauty. And when girls see the most gorgeous women in the world (plus-size models) exhibiting these traits, they'll be secure in their own body image and will no longer be brainwashed into getting deformed by the profit-driven butchers of the surgery industry.
