Justine: Sportive Plus, F/W 2011
I've always enjoyed the campaigns that gorgeous plus-size model Justine Legault shoots for the Québec outerwear label Sportive Plus. These promotions always have a distinctive Canadian quality, both for Canadians themselves and for the rest of the world, which sees Canada as a perpetually snow-bound nation comprised 99 percent of Arctic tundra. With winter coming on, I'd say this impression is accurate!
But Justine's images show how much beauty there is in this cold clime. I love this image of the model on what appears to be either a bridge or a walkway along the St. Lawrence river. Her red jacket stands out vividly amid the grey wintry environment, and the hat with the pom-poms is adorable.
Another lovely photograph of Justine in a cozy winter-cottage setting, this time with a fur-lined hat.
The prettiest image of the campaign is undoubtedly this one, with Justine's tresses glowing with a soft, radiant light. Her expression is lively yet gentle - very feminine.
The next pictures find Justine ideep in the Québec forest. There's something irresistible about the sight of this fair-haired model with her peaches-and-cream complexion amid the frosty environment.
Two photos of Justine as a ski bunny. While she looks like she could head out onto the slopes at any point, she would look just as adorable curling up by the fire in a ski chalet, while the snow covers the woods in a blanket of white.
Here are the product pages for the two coats that the model wears in the top two images in this post:
Mademoiselle Legault is by far one of the most beautiful models in the industry, a chic and sophisticated, elegant young lady. But I love her Sportive Plus campaigns because they bring out her cuter, girlish side, and the photography always gives the clothing an attractive context.
