Of late, the work of photographer Justin Clynes has come up on this forum several times, most notably in his acclaimed shoots with some of the industry's most gorgeous size-18 models, including this stunning test with gorgeous Katherine Roll, as well as the elegant images that he created for a Mielle Boutique campaign featuring Lindsey Garbelman.

Now Mr. Clynes has collaborated with a third stunner from MSA Models, the popular 5'7 beauty Maxey Greene.

Our favourite image from this test finds the model looking adorable in an ultra-feminine, ultra-pretty outfit. In her own write-up of the shoot, Miss Greene describes this look as "cutesy, girly, flirty," and we love it for all three reasons--and furthermore, because it is admirably size-positive. The white top defines the model's buxom voluptuousness, while the skirt hints at the luscious fullness of her waist. The skirt itself is completely enchanting, with its floral print and yellow hue exhibiting a folkloric quality. The sunny hue of the fabric plays with the daylight that highlights the model's brunette tresses, creating a joyful, luminous effect. The abbreviated length bares Maxey's fair, shapely legs.

Observe the dainty manner in which the model holds her handbag--perfectly coordinated with the skirt--as well as the slight S-curve she gives to her body, and the crossing of the legs that recalls the beginnings of a curtsey. In a brilliant styling touch, her earring recalls the candy necklaces of which grade-school girls are ever so fond. Miss Greene's posing talent is remarkable, as is her facility for expression, with a smile as sunny as her attire. Kudos to the photographer for catching the skirt at the exact moment that a gust of wind flares it, allowing the sunlight to stream through.

Undoubtedly the standout image of the shoot is this breathtaking headshot, which is not only a dramatic presentation of feminine beauty, but also a rich study in personality. The photograph illustrates the gorgeous fairness of the model's peaches-and-cream complexion, so soft and white, with just a whisper of colour at the cheeks. Those cheekbones have been much acclaimed, so round and pillow-like, thanks to a fine bone structure that is agreeably softened by facial fullness. The model's sensual attire invites the eye to peer deep into her décolletage. Her brunette tresses tumble over her shoulders in thick magnificence.

The most captivating aspect of the photograph, however, is the look in the model's hypnotic eyes--as blue as a Northern lake-- accentuated by her mischievously pouty smile. She has a look of supreme vanity mixed with a vivid touch of naughtiness. Her hand gesture adds to the glamorous effect. This is a vixen who knows full well how attractive she is, and delights in watching the power that her beauty has upon her admirers.

Next, we come to what Miss Greene dubs her first lingerie shoot. One might wish that the fullness of her opulent midsection had been more openly acknowledged, as the pose consciously stretches out her waist, but one can hardly deny the model a degree of modesty in her premiere intimate-apparel effort. Generally, one prefers colour photography to black and white, but in this case, one must admit that the image has a richly cinematic feel, a high-contrast yet soft look that evokes old Hollywood glamour. In keeping with this theme, the lingerie has a retro vibe, which makes it highly favourable towards the fuller female figure. High-gamma monitors will show that the roundness of the model's middle is subtly acknowledged.

The overall proportions of her figure show aspects of each body type (hourglass, apple, pear), which is an ideal combination for a plus-size model. Her arms appear round and full, while her flowing tresses exhibit a touch of wildness about them that is dramatically alluring. Once again, though, it is the model's expression that is the key to the effectiveness of the picture. With parted lips and smouldering eyes, she exhibits a rapacious, hungry look that makes the image intensely seductive.

Indeed, it would not be out of place to suggest that the lingerie image subconsciously draws upon vampiric motifs--a fact that provides a perfect segue into the fourth and final look that has thus far been released. Regular readers of this forum will already be aware of Miss Greene's affinity for subtly Gothic themes in her photo sessions, as evidenced by her highly artistic "woodsy noir" shoot with Visus Photography, some months back. Maxey's fourth image seems to be a kind of extension or follow-up to that test, with the tree branches in the foreground veritably reaching out toward Maxey, as if wishing to touch her plump robustness and draw nourishment from her into their dessicated limbs. With her smouldering eyes and the midnight-black background, the image has an aura of mystery and danger.

In her write-up, Maxey gives a vivid account of the setup for this look:

One wishes that more of the setting had been included in the frame, particularly the fur rug, which would have added to a primal undertone to the image. Nevertheless, the elaborate set design testifies to the kind of creativity that can help enhance a studio shoot, if one really must shoot in a studio (thought outdoor locations are almost always preferable, particularly in natural environments).

Bravo to Miss Greene and to photographer Justin Clynes for such attractive and artistic images. With Katherine, Lindsey, and Maxey on its books, the MSA talent roster is truly formidable. Each of these models are gorgeous and genuinely full-figured, and supremely accomplished in modelling prowess. Better still, all three are legitimately full-figured models, ranger from size 16 to 18. And with Katherine at 5'8 and Maxey at 5'7, they are blessed with natural, non-Amazonian heights as well.

As we have noted before on this forum, the true test of a plus-size model's beauty and talent is not whether she can be "edgy." Any model can be "edgy," after a fashion. No, a model's ability is most effectively demonstrated by the degree to which she can be soft and gentle.

Maxey Greene's newest photograph from her test with photographer Justin Clynes shows that she has a remarkable gift for exuding softness--and thus, for being beautiful.

Her new image is a masterpiece of gentle sensuality. Her milk-white complexion is exquisitely delicate, yet has the rose tint of a flesh-and-blood woman. Her aquamarine eyes are soothing and comforting. Her lips, perfectly shaped, press together in the most dove-like of smiles. By the manner in which she tenderly touches her visge, she enacts the viewer's own subconscious impulse, for who wouldn't long to caress so fair a cheek as hers? Her hair exhibits a seductive degree of measured messiness, which enriches the persona that Maxey creates. It gives her a sense of relaxed seductiveness, a human quality, as if she were freshly risen from bed and had artfully allowed her tresses to tumble into a half-uncurled, natural state.

However, the supremely seductive element in this image is the coy manner in which the model has allowed the uppermost buttons of her top to come unfastened. The deep V that this creates draws the eye down into her generous décolletage--which is only modestly uncovered, yet achieves dizzying allure through its flirtatious suggestiveness. The fact that the blouse is composed of sheer fabric, thus permitting a discreet hint of the soft skin that it imperfectly veils, adds further to the beguilement of this intoxicating image.

Further commendations are in order for Maxey and Mr. Clynes for this dreamy display of well-fed beauty and soft yet robust femininity.

Given the green hue of the model's sheer blouse, could this the first image in anticipation of St. Patrick's Day? Certainly with her cloudy-sky-composed skin tone and tousled hair, Maxey evokes the fair beauty of the archetypal Irish lass.

As ever, we eagerly anticipate further fascination from Miss Greene.
