Jamie M. - Model search winner
Hey, I just noticed that Torrid posted the results of its model search! The favorite by far (at least based on the pictures on the site) has to be Jamie M. - curvy, and beautiful:
 After Christina Schmidt and Kelsey, she may be Torrid's most appealing new talent. |

It's always difficult to tell based on a single photo, but Jamie appears to be completely gorgeous. We hope we see more of her at Torrid. She possesses round facial features, softly curvaceous arms, and a shapely Torrid figure. Plus, she appears to have a natural gift for posing. Michael Anthony tells us that at these mall scouting sessions, "each girl that auditioned, only got one pic taken, and part of the judging was to see how naturally they could hit that one pose, given only one chance at it." Under these conditions, Jamie did a fine job, and struck a pose that beautifully exhibited her curves. Plus, assuming that the girls tested in their own wardrobe, she obviously has a sense of style, as she chose a very pretty and body-conscious top.  |

I glad that Torrid allowed a really curvy model like Jamie to win. She is one of the prettiest models I have ever seen on this site. I would love to see her on the Torrid pages someday. Is that a Torrid top she's wearing? It looks so good on her, and I think, or I hope, it would look as good on me too.
And Christina is by far my favorite model or celebrity of all. Her career and everything about her is really inspirational to me. |

Torrid has a new page on its site, with a short interview with Jamie, and a couple of new images. This one turned out quite nicely.

My favourite is the Baby Phat image of Jamie, which shows off her curvy waist. Finally, companies are realizing that it's unnatural for girls to have caved-in, hollow areas where their waists should be! This is another example of the great, size-positive photography that is appearing with increasing frequency in the industry. It's encouraging to see.
 Pretty top, too - especially on a curvaceous figure. Baby Phat is a good fit for Torrid. |

The Torrid site also features these two, smaller images of Jamie, which celebrate her curvaceous figure, and reveal that she has shapely legs.  What Torrid's Model Searches effectively demonstrate is that North America is filled with gorgeous, full-figured girls who are stylish, comfortable with their body types, and are interested in spending their resources on items that will accentuate their feminine beauty (fashion, cosmetics, etc.), rather than on methods of torturing themselves needlessly.  |
