Default Kelsey at Fashion Bug (and Torrid)

Unless I am mistaken, this is a picture of Kelsey Olson at Fashion Bug, isn't it?

It's nice to see, and Kelsey looks beautiful, as always- although I think the photographer who shot her for her prom magazine layout did a much more interesting job.

(The fact that she was modelling pretty prom dresses helped a lot, of course.)

I also think her Torrid shots are more exciting- but it helps that Torrid gives her such attractive clothes to model.

Still, it's wonderful to see her career progressing. I'd love to see her, and Christina Schmidt, everywhere in the industry!

This is a fine move for Fashion Bug, which, from 2001 through 2003, boasted arguably the most size-positive (and best-photographed) campaigns of any retailer on this side of the Altantic, featuring Shannon Marie, Megan Garcia, Anna Loukachenets, and others, but has slipped in recent years. Kelsey would bring the retailer's promotions a much-needed injection of youth.

The magic of Torrid is that it allows its models to experiment with more vixenish looks, and altogether to embody the curve-adoring, celebratory spirit of the younger generation. Here is Kelsey through the lens of Michael Anthony, playing with her hair (a goddesslike gesture), in an altogether soft and lovely image.
