This is something that Mode was definitely trying to show in its early issues - that beauty has nothing to do with thinness, and that all curves are natural and beautiful.
I adore this model for being so obviously comfortable with herself and I just hope no one ever tries to make her change, to look more run of the mill. She has a very unique look, and I think she represents the future. Its a trend Ive been seeing lately, and it gives me hope. I think the industry is finally realizing that plussize models do NOT have to look as close to skinny-size models as possible, but can be perfectly beautiful on their own terms - and with their own curves.
