The promo is very well done, and distinguishes itself as a commendable presentation in a season that has seen at least as many misses as hits among the major retailers.

Liis's images are very nice, with the model sporting the lavender hues that have always suited her so well, and with the photographer shooting them against lovely green backgrounds. Many of the images appear to be inspired by Megan Garcia's unforgettable Summer 2004 Figure cover (which was itself inspired by an Evans ad from Yes magazine), featuring the model being worshipped by various GQ beaux, and with the model casually accepting their ardent doration as nothing less than her due.

(In this way, the campaign admirably reflects the reality of what it means to be a plus-size goddess in a prosaic world.)

And notice the model who appears in the "accessories" portion of the Laura Plus site. Yes, that is none other Lara Johnson--but oh, what a difference just a few inches of extra length in the hair makes! She easily looks more beautiful here than in any images since her Venus pudica editorial in Talk magazine (which was the last time she wore her hair anywhere near this length). Lara's fans have long cherished the fondest of hopes that she might someday grow out her hair and sport the luxuriant tresses of a true goddess--and in these images, that dream comes a step closer to becoming reality.

Lara has always been the exception to the rule, the one, single faux-plus model whose facial features are so hauntingly beautiful that she surpasses even true plus-size models in popularity. It is safe to say that if only Lara were genuinely full-figured, she could be the most attractive model in the industry--bar none.

But in these images, we see her with her very best look to date. Who knows what the future may bring?
