It's true about the revitalization of the Catherines brand. One would like to think that this is symptomatic of a reinvigoration in plus-size fashion in general, as even "mature" retailers realize that they can market more attractive styles, and promote them in exciting and eye-catching ways--either with the use of fuller-figured models, or with more glamorous campaigns (or, preferably, with both).

For example, this image on the Catherines cover demonstrates that the company has discovered the art of the "tease" (as frequently practiced by Lands' End), by providing aficionados with a tiny glimpse of Barbara Brickner at her classical best, in what is clearly an exquisitely sensual dress--but denying viewers a larger version of the shot, leaving them eager, nay, desperate to see more.

Catherines has astonished everyone this season, and is undeniably becoming a brand to watch . . .
