I came across a pretty good column about plussize fashion today. Most of it is just descriptive, but I like the point the writer makes about where the full-figure industry is moving, trend-wise -

"This season, the plus-sized fashion market is making a style statement all its own, with feminine details and designs.

"At Catherine's, a nationwide plus-size retailer, the season's fashions focus on soft, romantic styles. Coordinating separates including embellished jacket dresses, ruffled skirts [bravo!], soft knit shells"

"All its own", she says. And its good to hear. A lot of people have observed that plussize fashion shouldnt be the slave of fashion trends, OR reject those trends, but pick and choose which trends work best on curvaceous figures. And the feminine styles do. Last year, it seemed like Torrid was the only retailer offering really feminine items, but this season, other companies are offering the romantic styles as well.
