Weight researcher faked data

I know its more important to talk about the positives than the negatives, but I read this story a couple of days ago, and it really angered me.

It turns out that a major weight researcher faked his data in order to get govt. funding. The news articles that the story links paint a pretty disturbing picture.

I think what bothers me most about this is how little we heard about it - or cases like it - in the major media. But anytime there is a story that can fuel weight hysteria, it gets major coverage. Bias anyone?

I remember Emme once talking about the abuses of the diet industry and asking "Who is regulating this?" Sadly I dont think anyone is. But at least this site is monitoring it -
