We finally have our very first image to share from the event--a shot of Christina accepting her award. Apologies for the size of the image, but it was cropped from a collage.

It appears that Christina donned that most dangerous and exciting of plus-size garments for the ceremony--a sleeveless, figure-embracing red dress that undoubtedly captured the attention of everyone who was present at the event.

We couldn't have imagined a better choice: red being the colour of passion, of daring, of . . . transgression. It makes a statement both of defiance, and of possibility. It asks to the city in which she won her award, "Why have you suppressed plus-size beauty for so long?" and also invites that city to rekindle its love-affair with the curvaceous sirens of the silver screen, because such sirens still exist . . .
