Something else that I appreciate is Mr. Krosinski's skepticism about the media, and awareness of its manipulations. I look forward to seeing a magazine that acknowledges that being healthy and being curvy are the same thing, and doesn't frantically try to get its readers to sign up at their local gym.

Just now, there is so much talk about the Newsweek story that has been retracted, which is only the latest in a long series of examples of media fictions that have been passed off as facts. Others have said this before, but it's very true -- if the media will lie about major news stories that affect the entire world, why wouldn't they lie about something relatively less significant, like "weight issues"?
