I definitely agree that since the media has carefully constructed a version of reality that is so unfavourable to plus-size women, we need alternative voices that construct a version of reality that is absolutely positive and reverent. Half-measures aren't enough. As others have said, we need celebration, not just wishy-washy acceptance or tolerance.
By the way, that image of Barbara is very effective, although I loved the silk/chiffon dress she modelled recently even more. Nordstrom has been photographing Barbara in a really beautiful way recently, and letting her show more passion.
I also appreciate the fact that Nordstrom lets you see dresses from more than one angel. Next to a video, it's the best way to get an impression of how a dress will look when worn:
