I havent bought the book, but Im just not that surprised by what Im reading about it. Im really not. I mean, you can tell from the magazine that Figure is yes-and-no when it comes to size celebration. The covers say "yes". The diet ads say "no".

BUT - I really applaud them for using Megan so often. That DOES put them ahead of Grace (which was also kind of frumpy, but didnt even use true plussize models). That swimsuit shot is terrific. Ive always been rooting for Megan, and the Figure people were pretty brave (just like she was) for shooting her nude. Kate Dillon did a famous Mode cover where she was nude, but she was only I think a size 12 or 14 at most by that time.

So Figure It Out IS pushing the envelope in one way. Its just too bad their philosophy doesnt live up to their visuals.
