Maybe there's some cause to be cautiously optimistic here. It's a BIG improvement for the fashion industry to be glamourizing classical or royal styles, when just a decade ago it was glamourizing drug addiction.

I think it's premature to speak of a possible reconciliation between androgynous fashion and womanly fashion. On the other hand, it's hard to imagine anyone looking at those gowns and not thinking that they would have looked better on rounded figures instead of on "flat" models. The angularity of those couture models is just too- distracting. :)
