"Girly and punk"? What an interesting mix. But it can work. How interesting that Miss Osbourne's partner singles out the "flower in your hair" as a detail representative of their entire line. This is surely a delightful adornment for any plus-size beauty.

Note also how Kelly Osbourne's statement further underscores the "generational gap" that is so pervasive in matters relating to body image. Whereas her mother is still beholden to the mass media's artificial standard of beauty--to the point of even subjecting herself to cosmetic butchery--Kelly (and so many girls her age) reject these false ideals outright. They see the media for the tissue of lies and propaganda that it is, and dismiss it accordingly. Hope for the future, indeed.

Now, if only young Miss Osbourne would employ some plus-size models to promote her line, the praise for her efforts would be vociferous indeed.
