We have also seen this change at Lane Bryant. The venerable retailer may not have been the first to make the leap into the 21st century with the use of true plus-size models, but once it did so, it has never wavered in its resolve to show the public images of curvaceous goddesses photographed in the most attractive manner possible. Its Fall and Winter Cacique campaigns with Crystal Renn and Maiysha have put Lane Bryant back at the forefront of the industry.

Here is a stunning recent image of Maiysha, whose beauty has increased in direct proportion to Lane Bryant’s willingness to present it. Comparing this lovely, soft picture with the images of masculine-looking, "hard"-featured models that LB was using just a few seasons ago provides a good indication of just how far this company has progressed in a relatively short period of time.

Maiysha’s heavily-lidded, supremely confident gaze is a splendid touch. And we must compliment Lane Bryant for adding more colour options to its Cacique line than the traditional four choices--black, white, garish neon blue (ugh), or red. Recently, LB has added natural colours such as pastel greens, peach tones, pale yellows, and other "organic" shades that considerably enhance the attractiveness of the garments.
