Anyone who will be in New York during the next month might enjoy this exhibit of Rubens's drawing. I prefer his paintings, overall, because he was an absolute master of giving human flesh warmth and color. But even in these sketches, you can see his love of soft, full facial features -- and naturally, of wonderfully curvaceous figures (as you can see in the link below).
