Brittney said it best, in the comments you posted. Christina stands for something *very* important. Just by putting herself out there, and letting everyone see her self-assurance, she is showing what our culture *could* look like- and hopefully soon will: a world in which curvy girls walk with pride.

It's the black&white images in the gallery that impress me most. Christina pouts, and preens, and mesmerizes, with intensity to match any Vogue model, but is not the least bit abashed about her curves. Instead, she makes them part of her allure. This IS the future, right here before our eyes.
