I find the sentiments on the part of both the designer and the writer very encouraging. In its own way, the article is kind of radical, especially because it's so UNmodern.
The best thing about the new feminine movement is that it could inspire MORE people with an artistic bent to enter this field - people with rich imaginations, people who previously couldn't relate to all of the ugliness and modernity that characterized "top drawer" fashion.
I think plus-size models look better in ANY type of clothing than the poor bone-baring girls, but I agree that in "goddess" territory, they shine even more brightly.
