Christina Schmidt not on Degrassi this year

I read today that Christina Schmidt, who plays the plus-size model Terri on Degrassi, will not be showing up as a regular character in the new season starting in September.

It makes me so sad, but also angry. On the one hand there is Mary-Kate Olsen being diagnosed with anorexia, and all the news stories saying how bad the pressure to be thin is, both on actresses and on everybody else. But they still won't show any plus-size actresses to give people a different body image. And then when there finally IS one, and in a good role, they take away her character. It's so frustrating.
