“No Second Troy”

The Judgment of Paris Survey Results

“Paris was a bold man who presum’d / To judge the beauty of a Goddess.”
-John Dryden

The approach of a new decade brings with it an update to the results of the voting on our survey page. For a long while, Shannon Marie and Kelsey Olson have vied in popularity. However, Kelsey has recently slipped into the lead, thanks to her superlative campaigns in 2009—particularly a celebrated Alfred Angelo promotion, for which she resembled a living angel, as well as her latest Torrid appearances, including an enchanting Valentine’s feature. Her video work has also been outstanding, and has won rave reviews. But above all, it is the opulence of her figure, with measurements 40d–39–46, that has earned her more acclaim than ever before.

Shannon Marie’s position as a close second is remarkable, given that her career has been on hiatus for several seasons. However, between the appearance of several new images from earlier in her career, and her ongoing noteworthiness as the definitive image of timeless beauty, Shannon continues to win great praise, and is chosen especially by many first-time visitors to the site as the loveliest of all models.

Charlotte Coyle is in a close third (thus, second among currently working models), with fans continually hoping to see more of her images. Kailee O’Sullivan has surged in popularity as well, especially after our interview with the young beauty appeared several months ago. The public was fascinated to discover that she is every bit as brilliant and captivating as a person as she is as a model. And Christina Schmidt and Barbara Brickner continue to earn great acclaim.

But currently, Kelsey Olson’s star is in the ascendant. With adorably full facial features, azure eyes, a fair complexion, luxurious blonde tresses, and especially a rounded figure of feminine softness, she is nothing less than the reincarnation of Helen of Troy, the personification of the aesthetic restoration, and the very definition of timeless beauty.

Kelsey Olson

Was this the face that launch’d a thousand ships
And burnt the topless towers of Ilium?
Sweet Helen, make me immortal with a kiss.
Her lips suck forth my soul: see where it flies!
Come, Helen, come, give me my soul again.
Here will I dwell, for heaven is in these lips,
And all is dross that is not Helena.
I will be Paris, and for love of thee
Instead of Troy shall Wittenberg be sack’d,
And I will combat with weak Menelaus
And wear thy colours on my plumed crest,
Yea, I will wound Achilles in the heel
And then return to Helen for a kiss.
O, thou art fairer than the evening’s air
Clad in the beauty of a thousand stars,
Brighter art thou than flaming Jupiter
When he appear’d to hapless Semele,
More lovely than the monarch of the sky
In wanton Arethusa’s azur’d arms,
And none but thou shalt be my paramour.

Christopher Marlowe, Doctor Faustus. (1604–16)
